With Mulraney now out for 4-6 weeks (at least) we could do a lot worse for wide options.

6 month deal?

Jamie should be back shortly

In Hearts terms "shortly" seems to mean anything from 2 weeks to 3 months

Was he actually that good? or were we just God-awful? Haha

Took him an age to break into the team.

His stats in terms of impact were good in the games he played.

But maybe not a full season player. More a guy that does well to try to make an impact in the chances he gets. I.e. not consistent.

We'll find out in another month or so if Sam Nicholson is staying in America.

Would we even want him back?

It was the way he done it Mitch, tried to hold us ransom money wise after declaring how much he loved us

We to tell you the truth I don't know what went on between him and Levein.

I'd take him back but i feel he's burned his bridges with us.

I'd rather levein didn't get to sign any more players anyway to be honest.

We should keep our money for the new man.

We can't sign him until January by which time both Mulraney and Walker should be fit. We shouldn't be signing any more players unless they are going to be a nailed-on first pick in their preferred position, which Skinny wouldn't be. Any additional wages would be better spent on a poacher type

He wasnt that good. Or at least not nearly as good as some on here would have you believe.

No consistency from one game to another. If he'd take a cut in pay then yes. I'd offer him less than we were willing to pay him when he first agreed and then dumped us for more.

Not wrong to take more but not after agreeing. Sorry son you made your bed................

Why not offer Milinkovic training facilities and digs with the chance of a nice wee contract till the end of the season if he can prove he has what it takes. Never hold a grudge against a player who has left your club to try and improve his career or bank balance.

Fat chance on here pal.....!!

Anyone turning their nose up at Milinkovic when we have the likes of Mulraney, Clare and Wighton playing needs their head examined. IMO.

👍 Guy has more ability in his big toe than all three of them yet to see Clare rip celtic a new one aww in fact mulraney did aww wait he didn't either aye but Wighton did aww wait Wighton couldn't even score against reserve teams that are pony.

Milinkovic is exactly what we need. He has all the attributes Mulraney and Morrison have, with the added bonus of actually being able to score goals.

We need goals. We need a bit of dig.

If he's free to leave Hull we'd be absolutely ****ing stupid not to be on the phone to him sorting out a deal. Bit like Skacel, some clubs just suit certain players. Either that, or he was far from ready for England yet took the jump anyway. Signing for us for a couple of seasons gives him the chance to go back down south again with more experience under his belt.

Come the end of January, something like:

Joel

Smith Berra Souttar Hickey

Whelan Haring

Walker

Washington Naismith Milinkovic

Plenty attacking threat there and defensive solidity to compete properly. Whether we have the tactics and bottle to do so is another question.

I always got the impression that Levein was never a fan of Milinkovic.  He was probably a Cathro signing which might explain things.  Remember him being left on the bench in our Scottish Cup quarter final against Motherwell that season.  Milinkovic had pace, skill and liked to drive forward from midfield so he just didn't tick any of Levein's boxes.  Unfortunately he won't be coming back.

Probably justified it as defensively too weak and too hard to managed (yawn)

Quicker we get shot of captain negative the better.
