Mr Sifter
Could probably find this online but thought I’d ask here anyway. I’m about to put my laddies scooter up for sale, probably on Facebook and Gumtree. Just wondering though, if someone turns up looking to buy it, do so need any information from them? Other than their name and address for the v5 form, do so need anything else? Cheers 👍🏼👍🏼

This explains the process quite well. http://www.theaa.com/car-buying/how-to-sell-a-car crucially you/your laddie are still the owner until the DVLA is updated. So make sure that side of things is tied up properly. Don’t want your door battered down by cops if the scooter is involved in the current spate of crimes going on round the city, or even speeding fines etc. Edited August 20, 2019 by gjcc Autocorrect correction. JackLadd
Make sure it's cash only. Scammers are rife.

Speaking from personal experience.

romac
Don't let them have a test drive unless you've got the cash in your hand. They may not be insured to drive it (and they might not return)
CostaJambo
Don't forget to sook all the petrol out the tank before the new owner drives off on it.
