Average wage between Hearts and Aberdeen was separated by only about £25k per annum. Don’t think that would make a huge amount of difference. Definitely not ‘much higher’. Celtic's wage bill was much higher than Rangers wage bill.

You don't think an extra 25k a year would make a difference? I know I wouldn't sniff at an extra 25k a year!

 BBC chasing ratings shocker

if Rangers were playing Rangers Ladies it would still be the televised game

In normal circumstances, i’d agree but Hearts v Aberdeen would be good for viewing figures.

Happy it’s not on mind, even though i’ll miss it.

You’d be in a bad way if you sniffed £25k over a year mate. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Celtic paid on average £400k more per annum than Rangers. £25k wouldn’t make too much difference based on that £400k gap.

Brilliant it’s not on tv.

If this doesn’t sell out I’d be astonished. Q-Final , at home, under the lights, v the sheep shaggers.

get in

There is no debate over what the tie of the round is. It isn't Livi v Rangers.

Correct!! It’s a feckin joke!!!

Quite pathetic that Livi v Rangers is on the telly! What a shite watch and way to sell Scottish football.

Agree. I will be at our fixture but there is no way they are acting in the best interests of the game by following up the East Fife encounter by showing this game in preference to us against Aberdeen. . In fact the Dundee Aberdeen tie should have been chosen last Sunday. Even the media pander to the Bigot Brothers sense of entitlement.

What a shitty footballing country we live in. Hearts v. Aberdeen is clearly the tie of the round, should be on the box but no...pander to the OF tv fanboys is the goto.

Doesn't make any difference to me as I've every intention of being there but not all can make it and not all of us give a shiny about those two vile clubs.

I love and hate Scottish football in equal measure.

Brings back memories of the League Cup tie at Tynecastle in 1981/82.

Midweek game, we were in Division 1 but beat Fergie's Dons 1-0. I think it was a group game and I think Robbo's big brother, Chris, got the goal.

I was only 13 at the time, and haven't checked, so apologies in advance if my memory and facts are not in sync.

We must have played them at Tynecastle in a League Cup tie since but I'm struggling to remember when.

TV companies don't pick a game because it's "the tie of the round", they pick the one that they think would pull in the biggest viewing figures.

Unfortunately that will always involve one of the uglies.

Was it not in the group stages before they changed the format?

Somebody pinched my scarf when we scored.

It was a league  or Scottish cup winning one that I was given by an old neighbour.

i didn’t realise the significance of it at the time but it was smart.

I wonder if said person standing by the shed pylon that night still has it?

Cheers mate!

The draw could have been kinder in the other ties. Still, if we can beat the sheep( oo-er) the old firm might meet in the Semis. We could, with luck, be looking at another final !

One step at a time tho !

On the other hand, we could meet one of the OF in the semi, thrash them, then demolish the other one in the final.

They're not all that good.

Decent price, ST holders getting first chance for their own seat.

Good work by the club.

No excuse for this not to be a full house

Hopefully build some shitty uncovered seating in the corner, shift the angle of the pitch a bit so even the 'best' of the crap seats can only see 2/3rds of the pitch and royal charge those sheep banging fxxks 28 quid to sit in them.

Just like when we go up to that ****ing tip of theirs.

Apart from the fact it's midweek, fixture was never fixed until now , folk have families, financial, work, aye no excuses.

Should be a good crowd, but no excuses for it not to be a full house is a bit much!

Correct, no chance of it being a full house.

Might get close if we win every match between now and then though.
