Walker                  Naismith          Mulraney

                            Washington

I prefer your team, but I believe he is too stubborn to drop Clare, and can White last the pace?

Clare actually did okay at the weekend and far better than most

With Hickey available White can ease himself back by being on the bench...Hickey may not see out the 90 mins (between them we have a left back)

I would imagine a debut for the new goalkeeper otherwise what is the point of his signing if not to be the first choice

Most of the side is pretty straight forward with Smith Berra and Hackett

Will there be another midfield signing and realistically will he be up to speed ?

You have to think Clare and Damour will play

Naismith will not be risked I think and I'd play Mulraney simply for his pace . Washington will start and I would play Uche as well

Walker would make up the eleven

Bench from

Keena Henderson Irving, A Goalkeeper, Bozanic, Cochrane, McDonald, MacLean, Dikamona, Zanetta (though may be going out on loan) Burns

Motherwell have lots of pace up front it seems but I do think have weaknesses at the back

This team negates a big punt up the park. It has guile on the right, pace on the left, goal threat through the middle, good full backs to support the wide players. Washington\McDonald were very good together against Cowden and even against Stennie the chances created in 1st half was through that link up. Uche playing means big punt and fight for 2nd ball. This gives Walker a licence to go and link the play, get close to Washington but also to add that wee bit extra in the defensive role if needed.so could go to a 4-3-3 at times or 4-5-1 when we don't have the ball as the players are all comfortable with those formations.

Obviously assuming Naismith not fit....

For me:

Doyle

Smith Halkett Berra Hickey

Damour Irving

McDonald Walker Mulraney

Washington

Dont rush Naisy back. Don’t want him to be rushed and then get injured again and be out for a long time

Maybe change Doyle for Big Joel now he’s officially signed

I like Sean, he was one of the better ones. Is he a luxury though we can ill afford in what could be a frenetic tie

That team should have a good go at winning the whole bloody cup. Looks great on paper or an iPhone screen. We’ll see...

Pereira

Smith Halkett Berra White

Clare Whelan Damour

Walker Washington Mulraney

That's assuming no Naismith.  Could play him instead of either Clare or Walker.  Big impetus on the full backs to get up the park, but we have midfielders who can and plug holes now.  I'd assume White will have benefited from 90 mins and had 6 days to get going again, so would play him again to keep him going.  Obviously Hickey can play no bother though.

Need to make sure it doesn't become a 451.  Walker can drop in and let Clare beyond him, when we have possession, but out of possession, I want Walker and Mulraney near as damn it absolved of duty in their own half.

Would love to see Keena get a good run out, also Irving and probably Uche get some game time.  Don't risk Naismith if there's the slightest doubt.

Indeed , Clare constantly trying to make things happen . Again people deny this .

Good to see squad getting stronger .

Pereira

Smith.  Halkett. Berra.  Hickey.

              Whelan

Damour.               Irving.

Walker.  Washington.  Mulraney.

But it in reality I think he’ll go with wing backs and include Clare.

Proper organisation and motivation are more important than a new keeper

Totally agree

but a new GK was still required none the less

We also need to play at a much higher tempo and not be so lethargic.
