No one fears coming to Tynecastle these days, Ross county will be no different.

BTTS 1-1

That's because the fans would rather get on the back of our own players instead of making it an intimidating place for opposition.

You and I would get along great.  I think there will be a real spring in the step and Ross County (great wee club), won't know what's hit them.

35 hours to go.  Only around 6 more sleeps in my case.😂❤❤❤

I see our friends have a tricky wee fixture at ibrox on Sunday.  While I would always like them both to lose, I think rangers dishing out a thrashing is the best result from our perspective.  Get them demoralised and put the pressure on Hecky.

Not sure White has 90 in him yet and Damour, if we see the scarf above the head today, will never have even trained with the squad. I think well start with Burns and Mulraney. The mentioned 2 maybe later.

If damour not ready (which I doubt he would be but never know) then put Irving in the deep role and have Clare up with naismith.

3 nil to the JamTarts!!

Didn’t win a single match against newly promoted Livingston in the league last year and County are in decent form and arguably a tougher test. We don’t know our best 11 and can only guess at what the formation we will be. If Naismith starts then we are in with a chance but as we seen on Sunday, he can’t do it all. County will make it stuffy and sit in, we have to go at them from the start. If we play 442 they’ll out number us in the middle of the park and we will struggle to get any width. 4231 for me.

Bobby

Smith Berra Halkett Whyte

Clare Irving

Walker Naismith Mulraney

Washington

Head says 1-1 but hoping for a 3 or 4 nil.

To be honest mate, I think it's more to do with the team being shite. That's normally the reason ALL sides having crap form, be it home or away, lose football matches.

I do get that but at Tynecastle (even now away from home) the venom that gets spouted after the first mistake or wayward pass is too much.

Young lads who might make a mistake that nearly costs us a goal don't need abuse for it. They need encouragement, told to keep their head up. Far too often at Tynecastle I hear folk flinging all sorts of verbal abuse at young lads for a little mistake.

An older example is Calum Elliot, he might never have made it at the higher end of scottish football (injury obviously stopped him playing, although he had a cracking season in Lithuania) but the boo boys sure latched on to him to make sure the slightest mistake he made was sounded out loudly. That affects young players confidence.

I do agree that a shite team will lose more often than not though. I'm not sure we have a shite team tbh, time will tell this season I suppose.

Same at every club that's shite mate. Try go to some other grounds & see what it's like (as I have), & you'll understand the phrase 'venom' in relation to anything at Tynecastle is pretty laughable really.

Agreed, that will be the team if Damour is ready. If he is not then Irving will start and Damour can get an appearance from the bench later on, hopefully.

This for me. Uche on for either Washington or Naismith depending on fitness of either. Clare to have a bit of freedom with Damour doing the dirty work.

4-1 Hearts. Washington, Naismith, Walker and Halkett.

He was on the bench last week and i am pretty sure i read that CL intends to start him but not sure if he will last the full 90. I expect burns to come on to replace him

That’s a waste of a sub in my opinion.  If a defender isn’t fit to play 90 mins, they shouldn’t start.  I’d prefer Burns tomorrow.

Agree but he could always change to 3 at the back and bring on a more forward minded player depending how the game is going

Throwing in those pictures of the pitch the other day along with the forecast, it could be the ideal scenario for the Berra hoof to take centre stage. Hard to predict with Ross County buzzing after a good start, I still think there will be enough in the tank for a 2-1 win.

No easy games in this league, but the first home game of the season, in front of our usual large crowd, with new signings such as Washington, Halkett and Damour keen to impress, I think we will have too much for RC.

They will sit in, with two banks of 4 and will look to hit us on the counter. We will dominate the ball so it’s how we use it and how easily we can break them down will determine the outcome.

We now have goal threats all over the pitch. Will be interested to see how much emphasis we place on getting the ball wide/crosses in and how much is placed on clever link up play through the middle.

Team I think may play as follows;

                            Bobby

Smith            Halkett Berra            White

 Walker         Damour Clare       Mulraney

                       Naisy

                       Washington

Any win will do just to get us off the mark.

Prediction : 2-0 win 🇱🇻

Sir Gio

Difficult to nail this team, he may still want to use the bench, with White, Damour, Naismith and Washington needing to be fed time. One or two may have to settle for the bench.

Going to try this

Doyle (subscribing to the Bobbys off theory)

Smith Halkett Berra

Damour Irving

Walker Clare Naismith Mulraney

Ikpeazu

Subs

Zlamal, White, Dikamona, Cochrane, Bozanic, Washington, Keena

Toyed with wing backing Mulraney at Pittodrie, almost certain he will employ him to do that at home to a lesser side

Would normally agree but looking longer term this is an ideal opportunity to give Aidy White some game time. If he got an hour+ tomorrow then he'll be a lot closer to being able to play 90 minutes and give us proper options at left back.
