Interesting interview with him on Alba tonight where he explains he has never had any issue with Levein and he respects him highly.

whst I forgot was he has scored 40 goals for Hearts which takes him in to the top 40 scorers for Hearts all time, he has already got 2 this season and looks an improvement on what we had before so not all gloom and doom

He was anonymous before he scored.

However I did see a greater desire in the game at east fife for him to get more involved.

Players like that often are then they pop up with a goal

Skacel had a knack for it.

I'd like to see Walker grab the game by the scruff of the neck and win us the points. I think when things are too scrappy he can go missing too easily. Like today, it took Naismith coming on and turning things round to get him involved and unsurprisingly he popped up with a goal.

He was effectively playing CM though. When Naisy came on he had more freedom to get forward and he looked like a completely different player.

I do think he needs to play wide right all the time though as he struggles when pressed. At least out wide he will usually be one on one and has space to exploit.

He has 2 goals in 2 so I’m not going to complain about a player who knows where the goal is. He has taken a couple of chances, more overall influence on games will follow as everyone gets sharper and gets to know each other. The main priority is putting away chances, let’s hope others now follow his and Naismiths lead. We need as many players chipping in with goals as possible

A Midfield General

Answers most of the Questions asked here

How we use our assets

Availability over Ability

We all know that between

Defence - Attack

We lack a CM General someone respectfully crazy can read   opponents game / talent

Win the ball n move it into the path of more attacking MF suited players.

So currently the players in MF

Are covering and having to play out of their comfort zone

Surely its pointless casting blame or slaughter until a fully fit well trained side plays together.

Walker scored played out of his best spot most of the game .

He deserved such a lovely goal

Another player suited to playing front foot. Seems to have a record of scoring against Aberdeen.

Like Walker but blowing out of his arse for that third goal

Hopefully he is still to get fit because he was anonymous today bar the goal.

Cant mind him touching the ball in the first half.

He has it all to prove as a now mature professional footballer.  Took his goal brilliantly but done little else.

Maturity, and a sudden realisation that this is his career, and that he has really got a lot more to give before his time is up may change all that.

I personally think this could well happen with Jamie.

A guy with his ability after an epiphany moment could be sensational.

While he was quiet he was still our best attacking player until Naismith came on.

We didn't exactly carry an attacking threat before Naismith came on.

Correct. I should have also said that he was our best midfielder too although Irving wasn’t too bad either.

File under Skacel & Lafferty. Quite often do nothing for 89 mins. That one minute of magic wins you games.

Something we’ve been missing. Did nothing today but took his only chance. Happy for him. Think him Naismith and Washington could be a deadly front 3.

I think we’re crying out for a 4-2-3-1 with the current squad. Uche is the 1,

creating chaos and space for the 3 behind. The 3 are Walker, Naismith and either Mulraney or Washington. The 2 is the issue. Get in a Whelan or Ledley and we’d have a brilliant squad.

Dreamland, but add Gordon, Whelan and Lafferty and we’d be challenging for 3rd and the Cups.

CG is past it. Whelan would be a great signing, and I’m still hoping Morrison will also come this week.

I'm shouting this.  What did Clare do?  What does he ever do?  What did Bozanich do other than eat his lunch.  Yes, I know he didnt play.

Point I'm making is that we are not going to see the best of Walker if he is surrounded with passengers.

Surely levein has to act and get players in the engine room who can actually play.

Absolutely sick of apologists hoping Clare and his ilk will come right.  Even more sick of reading that we hoof the ball to Uche because that's our only option.

I'm absolutely screaming now yet am optimistic for Rosd County if we have a midfield of even modest ability.

Maybe watch the games on Hearts World and make up your own mind instead of relying upon the subjective slavers of the JKB community?

For those writing off Clare, Wighton and every other misfiring youngster - check out this young players previous scoring record!

Dear Me

GTF

Ok. Fair enough. I will watch his performances this season and re-evaluate.

Why the GTF though? Are you not capable of having a normal discussion?
