Cruyff Turn
Glenn Whelan never had any pace to lose. 300 games in the EPL, 80 odd caps for Ireland. The guy will be more than good enough for us. It’s not even worth debating. He may be 35 but he’s barely missed a game through his entire career. Not just a good player but another wealth of experience and another leader on the pitch. Absolutely cracking signing imo. Mr Elwood P
1 hour ago, innerjambo said: I didn't say it was slow, I said I don't think it's as fast as up here. Players have a bit more time on the ball down there, and to make a pass. Up here, you get closed down quicker, and the second ball becomes more important. It doesn't suit a lot players when they arrive here, they can't handle it, or the physicality. Take it you’re not watching Luton v Middlesbrough? If you were, you’d be quietly logging off JKB, hoping nobody had noticed this nonsense. The English game at EPL and Championship is very fast and very physical. The idea that we’re playing the game at a superior speed to anyone is crazy.

I'm not saying he's the bleeping manager, i'm saying that Levein likes other people to do his job for him. He never wanted to be a manager again. Ann made him take the role after the cathro saga but he's that arrogant and sly that he just said yes and still basically still just oversee's it all. His main plan is and always has been to train other people to do the job while he sits back blame free. That's how i see it and it's just my opinion. She's no stupid and she might even be in on it to. It's the only reason i can think of that he's still in a job.
