Glad England have avoided the follow on but Australia yet again the victim of a poor LBW decision at a crucial time.

Awful decision and same umpire gives both Warner and Harris LBW on exact same ball track.

When you consider the ICC were one of the front runners in Technology and what is available it seems crazy there is so much onus on the umpires. Surely the time is near to take more advantage of DRS. T

England are lucky as feck to be even remotely in this season. Utter shite, apart from Stokes and Broad

The Aussies would have been 2 games up and out of sight, barring a terrible umpire decision in the last Test. England are gash.

And without Steve Smith England would have already won the Ashes.

Burns gone for a duck 3rd ball. How are the fans feeling now Sexton?

They’ll be turning on Root and questioning his ability captain them despite lauding him after the last test.

Excellent viewing this whole ashes has been.

The 2 don't go hand in hand though. Steve Smith plays for Australia and is exceptionally good. You can't just say if he doesn't play England win as that's contentious. What is not contentious is that Umpire Garner made a horrifically poor decision at Headingly with 4 balls to go; Stokes was plumb, he should have given it out and The Ashes are retained.

England are doomed ,doomed I tell ye.

TBF Australia are a one man team on the batting front England just cant get Smith out.

He was toying with them in the last innings

Labuschagne has been good but Steve Smith's numbers have made him look average

And was a bit of luck that he only got in due to Smiths concussion.

Are you saying that his introduction was  down to Smith? Kinda funny when you think about it.

Smith's a prick, but he's unbelievably brilliant at what he does.

Not sure where you're getting the prick analogy from, probably the best batsman you or I will ever have the privilege of watching live. A totally different standard to everyone else (including Kohli). The cricket equivalent of Lionel Messi. Just watch and enjoy.

Cheating is pretty much prick material. Especially when you're this good.

The thing with Smith is that he was never captain material. Far too weak minded and easily led astray by Warner and co.

Still cheated though I guess.

Warners still a bigger cock

I will counter Smith being a prick with Stokes being a drunken thug.

The guy should hve been jailed.

Smith rubbed a ball with a bit sandpaper, Stokes hospitalised a guy.

But both are box-office cricketers. Forgive and move on.

Ben Stokes walks after being caught behind. Credit where due to him for doing that.

Reminded me of days of yester-year when it was accepted practice. I am sure the  Aussies would have reviewed it anyhow but credit to Stokes.

England are 100% winning this series. They should have lost it ages ago but having clung on this far they’ll definitely pinch it

Still highly likely to lose today.

All roads lead to Gorgie

The Aussie teams of old would be putting their feet up and downing a tinnie by now.
