Ann Budge?

Hearts' chairwoman is the subject of abuse essentially hoping for her death, someone who appreciates her, posts in support of her in response, and those are the first two replies? Pretty sure who I think the weird ones are.

She's taken us from the ashes Romanov left us in and build up a solid financial foundation from which we can grow. Stadium looks amazing and I feel there is a real possibility we could grow further. Long term theres no reason why we couldn't grow to 30/40k stadium - obviously current space is an issue but absolutely the potential. Just need to continue putting the right people in charge. Once the kids start going for 7 figure sums there will be more money to invest in the club. A hugely bright future ahead. 

 

Like anyone she's making mistakes and I really think she needs to speak to someone outside the club on how things are going - Problems with fans & Leveins tenure

Thank you Justin. I agree entirely. Amazing that’s some people’s sense of reality is now so skewed, they see words of encouragement and appreciation as weird. More so when the person in question has been on the end of some absolutely appalling abuse over the last few years, culminating in death threats.

Good post imo , she deserves immense credit for what she has done since she took over.

I suggested a while ago that she should be in line for a queens birthday honour and I'm sticking by that despite our current problems.  The abuse from morons is despicable.

Let’s be clear whilst Ann Budge did not save Hearts on her own without her involvement there would be no Hearts now!

 

Some of the current feelings directed to her are in many cases (but not all) totally out of proportion to the current predicament the club is in and are unhelpful!

You and your ilk do like to use the word "balanced" quite a lot. IMHO it should have un in front of it to truly reflect you and your ilk.

 

You may well love her but un (there it is again) fortunately she only has eyes for another who is very close to her.

 

AB Has made a huge mistake in her statement but has done good things for the club. Un (again) fortunately she is in the process of un (this is getting tedious) doing all that good work

She stepped in when we needed someone..anyone. Thanks are due for that and her undoubted calm in running the business side of HMFC.

To be honest she’s one(or three) sackings and a good manager coming in away from having everything we could want. The business side of things and the players are both excellent. It’s just the manager and possibly 1-2 coaches that are letting us down. 

 

It will be interesting to see how she acts when levein is gone. It’s almost as if he has pics of her in the scud. He’s the only thing she doesn’t look at In a business sense/the best for hearts.

Agree. Being over loyal to the manager though, especially when set against all her achievements off the pitch, is not even figuratively a hanging offence. Her patience/leniency would seem to be an error, but something's got to give very soon in that respect and she may quickly regain her royal status.

She’s not the first chairman we have had that the fans have turned on.

 

There were demonstrations wanting Mercer out, there were demonstrations wanting Robinson out.

 

From a business perspective she has done some great things for the club, where she is letting herself down is not realise that as a business, a football club cannot be sustained without the fans. What the majority of Hearts fans want is to see a competitive team playing on the park and playing Hearts football. Pressing and attacking. What we have endured over the last 2 years is nothing like that.  

 

The wording of her statement yesterday was truly dreadful in some parts and is alienating the people that keep this club alive by buying Season Tickets and merchandise or paying into FoH

If you had managed to put the bit in bold  in your opening post you may have had a more "balanced" response but again you use an  un balanced approach to a simple reply

For perspective, it’s not just us. Andy Robertson just deleted his Twitter account after abuse from liverpool fans for conceding a (very soft) penalty in the CL.
