I am but never tried it. Google doesn’t really encourage me to do so. 😎

What cash value do you put on a fit Haring in the Scottish and English market.  £2M Scotland and £6M England ....with sell on clause given Mcginn and Van Dyke inflation etc !. ??

Peter Haring’s spell on sidelines confirmed as Hearts assess how to guard against injuries

Craig Levein has confirmed that Hearts midfielder Peter Haring is facing another two months on the sidelines.

The Austrian has been assessed by two specialists in a bid to get to the bottom of the pelvic problem which has plagued him for most of this year, and the consensus is that he will need several weeks of rest to allow the inflammation to go down. “It looks like he is going to be out for a couple of months,” said Levein.

“That is what we expected and we’re going to treat it conservatively and give him a bit longer to rest up.”

Levein admits that rushing Haring back for the Scottish Cup final against Celtic in May has caused a setback.

“Bringing him back for the cup final was the reason it didn’t clear up properly,” he said. “We knew it was a risk and Peter was happy to play in the cup final.

“Sometimes you take a chance and as long as the player is fully on board I don’t mind doing that. Peter is fine about it. It’s just now about waiting until he gets up to speed.”

Haring was one of several Hearts players who suffered injury lay-offs last term and Levein confirmed that management have been assessing the way they work to see if they can guard against such problems going forward.

“Most of them were impact injuries and most happened in games,” said Levein.

“We’ve looked at the whole thing in great depth and we couldn’t find any pattern or any reason for it.

“We train on a lot of different pitches here and we decided we’re going to stick to a couple to see if using the same surfaces helps.”

He'd go for like 300k if someone wanted him.

No chance. Personally I think he’s worth that but realistically he only played fit and well for a third of the season.

Out for 2 months because of  the manager..rest with no operation

I have edited this for you.  Not starting this season the same as last as made my point re Levein and injuries too many times but nobody can defend the likes of this it's simply embarrassing.

I still think it was the right decision they both made to play him in the final.

It wasn't a professional decision imo, I am very concerned about our midfield based on who we have that can play there at the moment.  Been on holiday recently so been out the loop, are we done in the transfer market?

If he had recovered after the final would iy have been professional? Hindsight is a great tool.

Similarly, if we had left him out the final and still got beat - we would have numerous comments stating we should have risked him .....

Yeah Dave but look at the numerous examples and debates we have on here about Injuries.  One off then yes I agree, but this is far from a one off and let's remember it's not like he played the full 90 mins in the final.

He played 80 minutes and I thought we looked weaker when he went off.

Not if he gets fit again. Let’s wait until October to judge. 😎

Correct! If he was still on pitch we wouldn't have lost 2nd goal in my opinion

Players who don't get a pre season always struggle, playing catch up for the rest of the season with other players all 1 step ahead in fitness gains. Could be the new year before we see his best form consistently.

Our midfield situation for the first round of fixtures is a concern. The prospect of Bozanic-Clare as our most senior CM partnership is an absolute shambles.

It wont be though.

There will be one possibly two midfielders coming in.

Well it is at present, and the rumour mill is a little bit quiet in the midfield department since Bryson went to Aberdeen and Djoum left. I am looking forward to seeing who the one or two are, we need them sooner rather than later and we need them fully fit, match sharp and ready to play every game and perform.

Levein said he hoped somebody would be in before the Aberdeen game.

As you say though will they be fully fit and match sharp.

This should have been sorted because he knew Djoum was leaving, Lee wanted back down South and now he has let Edwards go.

Suppose though the rumours are a bit quiet but doesn't mean there is not stuff going on in the background.

We wait with baited breath :cornette_dog:

That's Charlie Adam signed for Reading yesterday as well, another option gone.

Maybe it's time to phone Tranent Juniors and see how much they want for Blackie. Although I'm not sure if they have phones in Tranent so Budge might have to take a drive up there in the Bentley.

Wonder if we could have another look in the Austrian league. Haring has been class, and if his ability & attitude are common place over there I'd have no issue with us bringing in some Austrians.

Yip, just below that. Beautiful.

People unwittingly go to the south which is over-commercialised. The Turks have really preserved both cultures to their credit. Totally unspoilt.

With Haring out for 2 months, would it not be worth trying Halkett in the holding midfield role, after all Haring was bought as a defender, Halkett might be just as good in midfield, worth a shout imo!

Clearly tho, a new signing would help.

On the down side, Berra would have to play week in, week out,  maybe not the best idea!

We also have Petkov and Dikamona.
