I’d like to see subs made earlier than usual when certain players are obviously puggled. Everyone knows what Naisy, Walker, Haring, Clare can do but is Washington better with MacLean, is Walker better more central is Zanatrz a genuine contender for the lm position, is McDonald now ready to play 20 plus games a season after his loan. Think zanatta/McDonald both play , hickey wont play 2 games in 5 days, bozanic replaces Irving, halkett needs minutes on the pitch....see Cochrane not on bench Friday but played Saturday so he may come back in. Irrespective as long as the team is professional and concentrated they will win. Result is important but performance and fitness more important just now. Hardest game in group out of the way now. Sorry but these games should be used to get our best 11 (with the exception of injured players) to gel together in preparation for the league start. portobellojambo1
It's not the best surface at Cowdenbeath so I will understand one or two changes. Not too sure if it would be wise to play Jamie Walker tomorrow night, although he did seem to react well to some touch tackling on Friday night. The main purpose tomorrow night needs to be to get a win so I hope there isn't wholesale changes just for the sake of it.
Saint Jambo
Am I right in thinking Smith's wife had a baby on Saturday? Might be given the night off on that basis I'd think. Thought it looked like Walker picked up a knock just before being subbed on Friday. If so might need rested. I'd rest Hickey too as don't think he is physically ready for two games in 5 days. This is one of two trophies we have a realistic chance of winning and as such should be BTA until qualification is secured.

Hearts' management will play the strongest team they think, given player's fitness & injury concerns, the pitch and upcoming games. Fans' on a football forum aren't going to influence Levein's tactics & selections. The team Cruyff's selected, with the exception of Wighton missing, coupled with our bench options, will be more than enough to see off Cowdenbeath. We’re already missing Haring and Naismith, arguably our two best players last season. We haven’t replaced Djoum. To further weaken the starting line up by playing fringe players isn’t a good idea. Cruyff’s team was rotten!
