Yes I agree. 1st time seeing him and he impressed greatly. Thought Irvine had a good game too .

Brilliant to watch and Mulraney and him linked up really well.  Was up against United's player of the season and basically never gave him a kick

Continued on from his performances at the end of last season. Composed, can find a man, has a fair bit pace and never seems to get caught out of position. Would like him to get +15 games this season, injuries allowing 👍🏼

White will have to be Boab Carlos levels of quality to push him out of the team. A very, very, very good performance from a lad who'll still be on the soft drinks after the game.

What a player we have on our hands! He’s so composed and never feels pressured.

He played really well, I loved how comfortable he and Irving both were in taking responsibility for the ball, beating a guy rather than just getting rid. He and mulraney could be a real axis of terror for right backs this season

I'm going to be heartbroken when we sell him for about £30M in a few years time.

Enjoy watching the lad in maroon while we can.

Was immense tonight, few times he was under pressure he got the ball down and made a pass instead of taking the easy option and going long.

Top prospect.

Tell you what, he's a player. Composed, good left peg and more ability than any left back we've had in years. Could become a top player.

200m or gtfo

Could be the first ever billion pound player the way leagues are splashing the cash?

Maybe I'm being a tad optimistic?

Think he’ll end up in midfield with the level of skill, composure, close control and strength he has.

Not for me. He’s playing very well in anproblem position for Hearts. Keep him where he is and let him carry on the great work so far.

Absolutely love him. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets a rest for the next game though as he put a lot into that tonight.

Just to add that although he could play in midfield LB is a far more specialist position and will be far better for his career.

He doesn’t need rested, keep playing him.

Just hope he’s left to play there and not affected by unnecessary rotation. By all means drop him if he has a run of poor games (not 1), or if he gets injured he naturally sits out.

In todays game there’s times managers or coaches always try to play the genius by selecting different players game to game. I don’t think it helps the team to find consistency or let players get an understanding.

I'm happy to go with whatever the sports scientists say after assessing him. Fingers crossed he's fine for Tuesday.

Hickey looks an unbelievable talent. Better than Gary Naysmith at that age?

I think 20 games each for White / Hickey would be ideal for both players.

Am I right in saying he's actually naturally right sided? Not that you would tell because he's so beautifully balanced.

If he keeps doing what he's been doing, he'll not be at Hearts for long. Looks to have everything a modern full back needs, pace, composure, technical ability and positional sense.

He is going to be some player if he keeps up those performances looks composed on the ball  It’s hard to believe this is his third game in the firs team Real Madrid or Barcelona in a few years time .🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻

rudi must stay

Takes risks all the time with the ball.

A refreshing and different outlook

I think he can improve too (overplays it for my liking in defence) that aside not much you can fault

Please no. Left back is a great position to develop a young player in. Tierney for  £25m? Get hickey signed up just now. EPL teams are in the market for outstanding Scottish left backs. Typical of scotland. Used to be great keepers we produced. Now it seems to be great left backs!

He is good but doesn’t have the pace to play at top level not being negative here just keeping it real

So far, yes, but I could never knock Gary or the career he had. If he never got all those injuries he had at Everton he’d have had 80-90 caps for Scotland.

I’m not saying move him and totally wouldn’t move him right now. I just reckon in ten years time he’ll be a midfielder.

Arguably would be worth even more as he is genuinely two-footed and just as comfortable at right back. 👍🏻

Doesn’t reflect badly on Naysmith. Takis was our best left back I’ve seen. Naysmith was still unbelievable, he played his best football at Everton though.

No, I get what you’re saying. We should just enjoy the fact we actually look like we’ve got a left back at last.

Great awareness and calmness about him. He could be an outstanding player once he grows fully and gets stronger.

I think left back and goalkeeper are two of the most specialised positions for a club who are trying to maximise their youth academy.
