Haring Injury

God knows what some on here would have said about Colin Cameron's injury which kept him out for a while and not at full fitness

A gum shield was the solution despite all the experts the club used...they should have asked JKB at the time and hey presto

You have to love the medical experts we have on this board and that for them 'rest' does not apply

If you are injured it's the clubs fault, if you are not fit in a week it's the clubs fault, 2 weeks the clubs fault, 3 weeks the clubs fault and that of the surgeon, 5 weeks the club, Levein, the surgeon because he was clearly second rate

Over and above that its the second expert/surgeons fault because we had to use him and the clubs fault because we didn't use the second expert first

Add to that the idea that a player can just return from injury and be 100% straight away. The mind boggles.

Great example. Our best player ruined by JJ, everyone at the club and multiple specialists before one of them could figure out what it was, told him to smoke 20 John Player Special a day and he saved us from relegation. But no, according to folk on here who struggle to piss and shit at the same time, two paracetamol and a pint of Tennents is all it takes to sort any injury.

Works for me like.

I can vouch for both of these, though not at the same time

History wouldn't be up to much, if we didn't point out obvious things like death.

Medical problems can be weird.Colin Cameron's problem kept him out for months I recall. I have experience of something similar. I have spinal stenosis, waiting for an op. Went to the Doc's with pain in my jaw. Nowhere near my lower spine but I realized that the jaw pain was caused by constantly gritting my teeth in response to the pain in my back.

Do yourself a favour. The last thing you ever want to do is have an operation.

Every avenue should be explored, the operation is the perceived easy fix, it doesn't work like that and once operated on you are only opening up yourself for more problems, The solution lies in the communication your body is presenting.

The jaw holds the key, teeth, amalgam and root canals should be eliminated.

No, but if almost the entire team at some stage last season had an injury, some players with two, key players with long term injuries then after a post season break followed by pre season training and still have players dropping like flies i'd say yeah IT IS THE CLUB's fault.

The MRI scan showed two things, a ruptured disc and arthritic nodules around L3 and L4 in the Lumbar region of my spine. The Disc problem has improved greatly, but the arthritic problem remains and can only be repaired by surgery. For about 8 weeks I was walking with 2 sticks but I can walk normally now. It was the worst pain I have ever experienced, missed about 4 home games as a result, that's how bad it was. Another symptom is loss of feeling down the front of both legs, that's still there. I know the risks of surgery but will be going ahead anyway.

Thanks for the advice though😁.

I must have missed something.

Who are the players that are "dropping like flies" since the start of preseason ?

I would imagine he is referring to the fact that Hickey, Haring, Walker, Wighton and apparently Uche are all injured with a couple more such as White and maybe Washington not fully fit yet.

Hibs are having similar problems with 5 or 6 of the squad "doubtful" for their first game.

I don't care about them either.  I was trying to point out we're not the only ones with such problems which in some cases could be a reaction to stringent pre-season training following a spell of (comparative) inactivity.

So a couple that haven't recovered from previous injuries, a couple who have been injured but not quite match fit and a couple who have picked up the normal niggles that players get at this stage of preseason.

Not quite the mass casualties that i8 is implying

No, probably what can be expected at this stage of pre - season. Lets just hope it doesn'ty continue on into the season like last time.

Being cautious with minor niggles is what all teams do in pre season. The only player that is a major concern is Haring.

The club should know soon if not already what his problem is after his visit to the specialist and start getting him sorted asap.

Hopefully not something that is going to be long term.
