we were there in the turnstiles
with the wind at our heels
we sang for the Hearts
cos we know how it feels
to reach too high
too far
too soon
we love the boys in maroon
the boys in maroon

At the turnstiles rather than in

Apart from that minor change.... very good.

You start and I will join in.

Whigfield - Saturday Night.

SATURDAY NIGHT AND I LIKE THE WAY YOU MOVE! JAKE MULRANEY!

This is the stuff that actually makes a good song/chant. Short and simple and can be repeated over and over. Could imagine a large away support really getting into the "da da da dum, dee dee dee da dee da da da, Jake Mulraney!"

Just went and found the song on YouTube though and it's full of "Scotty Arfield" comments so clearly the Newco fans got there first.

Most of the new songs suggested are terrible so I'm not going to make a full blown effort because my effort would likely go thr same way, but I think there must be a song for us somewhere to the tune of Get Back by The Beatles. Example:-

🎶You won the Scottish Cup, we couldn't give a ****.

You're never gonna beat 5-1.

Get back! Get back!

Get back into your ****ing hole.

You saw us relegated, then you went and joined us.

Wasn't the Championship fun?

Get back... 🎶

Would be good to have some more up to date content.

Quite like this one 🇱🇻👍🏼

Very decent, but it's sung by young team so no doubt it will get shot down in flames.

Night bus to giro.

It’s just gone two in the afternoon

As he walks up the royal mile

here comes the toad from Lochend road

ugly cant with the toothless smile

Now it’s half past four & he’s with his w*ore

on the bus down the royal mile

doesnt seem to care that his team has no flair

as he reaches his last half mile

The saddest cant in the lands’ in the four in hand

his hobos beaten by a country mile

just pokes at his Nan with dick in his hand

night bus down the royal mile

night bus down the royal mile

All aboard the night bus to giro.

Rangers were singing similar last week.

And there it is.

If we're not going to sing songs with tunes other clubs have used we have about three songs.

:D I wasn't being negative, I was just pointing out some copyright issues. :cheese:

I totally agree with you and the 3 songs, it's time for more and I'll sing any song by any team(changed for our team), that doesn't involve sectarianism, national or political statements.

Nothing will outdo Celtic embarrassingly copying the Liverpool anthem.

Celtic, the team that think they're Liverpool.

Correct. It was more like 7 weeks ago at Fir Park.

Personally I have no idea what rangers fans sang at fir park. I know we used the stand as a drum at fir park and Rangers sang this at tynecastle, last week. It's quite catchy, so good on the young team for doing a version for us.

Rangers also sang the sash, GSTQ and Rule Britannia. You'd think we played in green.

Adding new words to the tune of a song they already sing doesn't show much imagination, and just adds credence to us being called the 'Wee Huns'   Strangely we never seem to do the same thing for songs sung by the other old firm arse cheek!

Had to laugh yesterday the song what's doing the rounds similar to Rangers Abba song - ours sounds quite good with the Gorgie rules apply we will be playing in Europe in July ?

I seen on Tik Tok some Dundee United fan saying he wants United fans to start singing this with their players. The bit where it goes Gorgie rules apply they have it down as Tam Courts rules apply 😂😂

Would maybe be a valid point if the huns were the first to use the tune, but they weren't.

Isn't that long ago that Hearts fans sang songs to similar tunes as the other cheek. In fact, there were even some with just a word or two different. "Hail Hail the Hearts are here" being a perfect example. Go back even further and "You'll Never Walk Alone" was sung by most sets of fans at some point. Everyone else has since moved on

On this particularly ditty - it went down well at the weekend with each time louder as more folk picked up the words. Much to Mrs Dunks dismay, Wee Jambo has been singing it on repeat ever since :D

I suppose that depends on your concept of the passage of time!  It's really quite a long time since I've ever heard Hearts supporters sing Hail Hail or YNWA!

It is but there was a far wider range of songs sung.

Labelling a pop tune as belonging to a particular club is quite a recent thing.

I was thinking the exact thing regarding Hail Hail. Never been sung in my time but if you go onto youtube there is hail hail hearts songs. The super trooper is a catchy tune, we've made our version big deal ffs.

How about to the same tune

Hibs are always losers

Jakeys, tramps and boozers

Hearts beat them for fun

Won the Scottish Cup five one.

Or

Hibs will always Hibs it

Maloney is a midget

Liked to cheat and dive

But remember when the Hibs lost five...
