The point about Hibs banning this scumbag for life is valid. If Hubz had any shred of decency that’s what they would do. But they won’t as the club has a history of defending mindless thuggery (cup final) and racist players.

Your joking.

Should be made to attend Hibs games home and away for the rest of his life.

Oh come on, it was only a punch.  No need to be so extreme!

jambos are go!

Was the guy not banned for life by both Hearts and Hibs at the time? They have the right to do this  to anyone regardless of any judicial sentence do they not?

Given that capital punishment is currently out of fashion, I’d have been looking for a long custodial sentence at the very least.  Travesty of justice, this.

They do indeed.

Should be an agreement between the 2 clubs to issue lifetime bans for anyone assaulting players/staff on the pitch.

Pasquale for King

Definitely should’ve been banned for life, then again watching these ***** will shorten his life expectancy anyway.

In edition to the Tavernier shove, when you look at the way that bam-pot Wilson was treated  after "attacking" Lennon (although I don't think he actually hit Lennon) you have to wonder about the Justice system in this country. Interestingly who the two teams are the victims came from.

Being outwith the seating area, pitchside is considered an aggravating feature, understandably.

I suppose it could be but actually punching a player as opposed to a shove and possibly no contact should also carry more weight than it appears to have done.

A previous football offence and he's only banned for 12 months? A shade lenient. Maybe he's a secret Old Firm supporter.

Sad but true lol

Wilson didn’t get jailed didn’t he get off on a technicality.  The arse who attacked Bobby should be banned for life without a doubt.

Youve obviously never attended a derby if you think it’s only their issue.

he was jailed for breach of the peace, the sectarian attack charge was not proven. he got 8 months but because he had already served half the sentence during the trial he got released

Didn't Wilson spend a long time on remand after them refusing bail?
