Quote from an interview he did yesterday.

I'll say again, I'm not against Walker coming back. His initial responses and most of what he said in the interview I was fine with. I just think he should have stayed away from any blame game stuff, especially when he knows that a sizeable chunk of the support were pissed off with how he left. He should have just stuck with "mistakes were made in the past, this is a new chapter".

Oooft he really shouldn’t have said that

Im pleased he’s back too but ffs he needs to engage his brain.

No we don't.

We have someone that has been found out down south that he is not good enough, and also coming back from another major injury.

He is the quintessential guy (woman) that dumped his (their) partner for someone else then realised they were already punching above their weight and tried to scurry home.

My guess is: his wife - or partner, wanted to come back to Edinburgh/Scotland.  It's that simple.

They both wanted to come back home.

Only the future will tell on his motivation , and only himself can prove his worth to Hearts

This reads like you're vulnerable and projecting.

Man up and get over it is what your mates would tell you.

It’ll only take him 3 years to recover.

Young footballer with undoubted talent, and a family to support, made some poor decisions once but shows signs of having learned from his mistakes.

It's a familiar tale. The prodigal returns. Welcome him back and get behind him. That's what most of us, apart from the easily offended, are doing.

There's a further issue that he might have a dodgy knee. I can understand people having reservations about that. But those still going on about how he treated 'us', please get over yourselves.

A fully-fit Jamie Walker is a tremendous signing who makes going to a game worth the money. Here's hoping.

Some people need to get over what Walker done, it’s embarrassing now. Acting like your bird has cheated on you???

I agree, give the guy a break

However it looks like a percentage of Jambos have already made there mind up about Walker before a ball is kicked.

I think Jamie could be this years target for the boo boys, no matter what he does

Hope, with his performances, he rams it right up them.

37 Goals for Hearts (only 4 less than Rudi scored - and no I'm not saying he is / was as good as Rudi).

Good signing. No more to be said.

Tbf I don't think the boo boys will bother him in the 3 or 4 games he actually manages to get on the pitch. Perhaps he could throw his crutches at them.

Likley has far more assists than Rudi as well.

BackOfTheNet

I didn’t want Walker back, but he’s our player now so I sure as hell hope he succeeds and he’ll get my support. But before anyone starts pulling stats and comparing them to Rudi, I would omit Championship year goals and assists for a fairer comparison.

Just wish that folk would cut Walker just a bit if slack. Personally speaking I was less than enamoured with his last few months with us previously, but he's back here  and hopefully fully fired up and looking to do the business in the park for us. If he’s going to win over the doubters he has to hit the ground running.
