Its obvious Boris is will be “the chosen one” for the nasty party and will be the UK’s very own ‘Trump’ (or worse) soon.

A PM chosen by 130k (ish) tory members.

Now theres real democracy in action!

Anyway, thought I would kick this off with an employment reference from Boris’s old boss...

Dirty Deeds

It's common to find the words "serial liar" in any article about him and yet he's breezing in.

It'll all end in tears,  but not his own.

Agreed.    I tend to think he will have very little regard or interest for the finer details of governance.     He'll be surrounded in cabinet by supposed supporters who have declared their support for him for the purpose of obtaining their own positions and nothing more.     Privately and quite possibly in cliques they'll profoundly distrust and loathe him.     It seems highly unlikely that his chaotic and borderline psychotic character will enable him to manage the considerable work load for very long.     Chances are he'll go arse up within 2 years.

Yes but incredibly his tendancy to say ridiculous things is now being justified as him just being open, honest, plain speaking Boris.    A virtue.     We'll see what he comes out with in the open but it will also be interesting to see what is leaked out of cabinet to the press.    Cabinet is about as water tight as a ripped paper bag so his ramblings will come out.

"I do not think that Boris Johnson is fit to lead anything, much less the United Kingdom."

The lesbian couple who were recently subjected to suspected homophobic attack on a bus in London have criticised Boris Johnson for his previous homophobic remarks.

Why have we got to this situation though?

Why have things got so bad, when we have two people who are obviously despised by many, in such positions of power?

I understand that BJ has not been voted in as PM by the public, but then as has been stated before, it is not the person we vote for, but the party, and the party picks their leader.

Why though, are the much hated 'Tories' still in a position of power, especially after two odd years of the worst PM in living memory, and countless shambolic performances, not least the failure on Brexit?

Shouldn't we be trying to address the situation as to why, two such people are in these positions?

I think its a case of the tories being extremely lucky that Labour voted for an even more despised individual for their leader.

The thought of bojo as pm gives me the shivers, the thought of corbyn as pm with Abbott at his side as home Secretary is even more frightening.

Either of these scenarios is, more than enough for me to support independence now, I was a no in ref 1,...

Look no further than the right wing media. They have successfully painted the picture of the far right in the Tories being saints and Corbyn as a traitor.

Never underestimate the power of the media, they have the money and very clever spin doctors to sell ice to eskimos.  Murdoch"s media empire  has a vested interest in keeping Corbyn at bay.

From day one since Corbyn was elected leader of the Labour party the right wing media have been relentless in their smear campaigns against Corbyn.

Then you have had the last to general elections were no party had a overall majority , and what happened , the Tories were helped and were giving the opportunity to govern by the LIBDEMS and today by the DUP.

Hopefully  by the next election enough  people will have woken up and will judge this government not on individuals like Boris and May but by their recorded in government,. UK politics has turned into a fecking game show,  just like the USA.

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling

Judge this bozo on his past records in his governmental positions i say.

I think that Boris did a good job as London mayor and will be a good PM.

He at least has a brain in his head capable of making decisions and won’t just wait to see which way the wind is blowing before jumping on the bandwagon like the others.

I would say the opposite people expected Remain to win the referendum so he was choosing to join the losing side.

Well you aint thinking deep enough, do you condone ALL the things he has said about gays and Muslims and the Scots and the families of the 7/7 attacks. Simple yes or no will do, should not be that hard since you are a very deep thinker.

This man is dangerous,  full of calamities , i would not trust the serial liar  with my TV remote never mind the keys to number 10.

Perhaps the reason he chose to back Brexit is if they had lost he would still have positioned himself with the anti-europe majority (within the Tory party at least). This manoeuvre looks like it will be successful as he looks a fair bet to be PM. Given what a horlicks he made of being Foreign Secretary that should be a sobering thought for most people.

In the UK there are usually two people with leading arguments and the one that most people agree with wins.

In Sweden people sit round the table everybody gets a say and they work to reach a consensus that incorporates everybody’s views.

It is my opinion that Boris could be a good PM, I don’t really care if he said something or other in the past. Martin McGuiness was part of a power sharing arrangement in Northern Ireland and he used to be part of the IRA.

It it is also my opinion that Jeremy Corbyn would be a disaster and if Boris doesn’t win then that is the alternative as the other candidates cannot articulate why capitalism is better than socialism. An argument that most people thought ended in 1997 but is now very much back on.

Nigel Farage was chased around Edinburgh and threatened by people and you have to ask yourself who is in the wrong Nigel Farage or the people who cannot accept that we live in a democracy with freedom of speech and cannot respect other people’s opinion.

I don’t mind people saying Boris would be a bad PM and Corbyn would be a good PM but I would prefer a forward looking debate rather than just silly name calling.

As far to the right as you can get, apparently. Close to Churchillian in his views of ordinary, working class people.

Trump in the Whitehouse, Boris in number 10, the World's gone mad.

I have heard this argument and I would imagine it’s something he will need to address in the next few weeks. Sort of reminds me of an old episode of the New Stateman when the TV cameras were first let into the House of Commons and the director decided that Alan B’stard should reply rather than the Labour Party.

You are endorsing a homophobic , racist , this says a lot about you and you aint fooling no one.

You talk of Debating , your joking, how can you debate with someone who EVADES questions, refusing to answer them if they are too awkward , or will in essence reveal their true  agenda or beliefs for a support of a man whose  beliefs DENY others their right to be who they are.

You can spin Boris all you want and try and make out he is fit for government but he is not.

You speak  cheaply of  democracy and freedom of speech like a game show host , and at the same time are FULL of  bare faced hypocrisy when you support a man who  DENIES homosexuals, muslims  and mainly poor people their freedoms.

You also speak of name calling,  well look no further to your serial liar Boris , for its he who is ahead in that game.

His only ambition was/ is to be Tory Prime Minister by hook or by crook (Given some of his pals quite likely). He will change stance in the blink of an eye for popularity in the Tory party. For the Poundland version see our own Ruth Davidson.

As for the reference to 30 year old tv comedies the series is long forgotten never mind individual episodes.

Based on what? Let's look at Boris's Mayorship. Homelessness, Heathrow(When's he resigning)Police numbers, House building (Affordability),  oh and when is he testing the water cannons on himself, again. Oh right! He sold them off , at a loss of £300, 000.

I'm sure there's more.
