EU mitigated what they could in order to save the deal but the USA imposed more sanctions. This caused Iran to re-start their centrifuges. USA then escalated by sending more warships to the Gulf and buzzing Iranian airspace with drones. Iran has responded by trying to disrupt oil tanker traffic passing through their waters. USA asked the UK to seize an Iranian tanker off Gibralter. Iran seized 2 UK tankers today. In a normal world, diplomats would then get around a table, hammer out a new deal and everything goes back to how it was. In this current dystopian shite-pile, anything could happen.
