Hmmm. What did that do for us this past season  :)

But generally I agree, however 3 very good home fixtures, win those and pick up even 1 win from those other 3 and you are in a strong position.

Away to Aberdeen first game. Two good home fixtures during the festive period against Hibs and Aberdeen  Thursday and Sunday.

Lord Beni of Gorgie

For info, that first game of the season will be a SUNDAY. Aberdeen most likely to advance in Europe, pretty sure they have a tie on the Thursday if they are in the next round

Derek McInnes on Sky mentioning he hopes 1st game is changed to Sunday as it means they are still in Europa League Qualifiers.

Don't book your train tickets too soon:thumbsup:

Here's to a successful 2019/20

His name is

we've got a poor recent record at Aberdeen.

A positive start is essential as levein won't have much breathing space with a lot of fans.

Fingers crossed we can go and get. Result.

How many times have our away games to County been midweek?

Other than that, no complaints. Good to get Aberdeen and Celtic away out the way early.

Out the way rather have them later on, whats with us getting celtic early doors every season.

So we win the first few games then.

Defeatist attitudes are for losers.

Maybe you want to tell Levein that. Last time we won at Pittodire or Celtic Park?

Anyone know if we are still on the TV deal that only allows 4 televised games at both Ibrox and Parkhead?

Not sure. As of season coming games only on Sky Sports. No BT sport for the season coming.

Agreed........a nice long trip back from some outpost will do us nicely.

Will their new stadium in the field be completed before 3rd/4th August?:clyay:

OMG we have got to play every team home and away in the first two rounds of fixtures.

But we also have to play Celtic away twice and at home only once before the split. Mind you que sera sera

Whilst it shouldn’t matter if we play well, it’s a bit of a shocker having 6 of our 9 games against Celtic, Aberdeen and Hibs away from home before the split.

I guess it’s partially offset by Killie and Rangers at home twice

None of these fixtures dates and times are set in stone. Depending on TV coverage they will be moved. Surely we should sort this out prior to releasing the fixtures.

Looks like another season of not going to Dingwall. Annoys me we hardly get them on a Saturday when they’ve been in the top flight.

Will be balanced elsewhere tho, no biggy.

That does make the league a farce tho imo.

I guess the good thing about getting Aberdeen and Celtic early is European commitments.

Provided Aberdeen don’t bow out to the Finns in the 1st round they’ll play us on the Sunday having been away in Luxembourg or Georgia on the Thursday night.

Similarly our match at Celtic Park will be sandwiched in between Celtics Champs League 2 leg play off which for them is often regarded as the most important of their season.

Might not be the worst timing...

We've played them 17 times in total and 2 of them have been midweek. One at home and one away

Celtic could still be moved to Sunday if they’re papped oot and parachute into Europa play-off round.

Possibly Georgia, away tie on 1 August if they get past Santas team, other option is Luxembourg

I must admit I did think we'd played them mid week a fair bit too but we haven't really.

Aberdeen at home.

Is it too early for an ***Official Aberdeen V Hearts Match thread ***? ;)

I'd expect this game to be moved to the Sunday.

Were drawn away on the Thursday assuming we beat RoPS Rovaniemi in QR1

Especially as if we win the QR2 fixtures, we'll be playing in QR3 the following Thursday

We'd be coming back from Luxumbourg (Seeded side) or Georgia (Unseeded)

the stadium may be read for the 03rd or 04th August, but not in 2019 ;)

Alba were to show Dandies game as deferred live coverage if on opening day but not sure that would still be the case if on the Sunday due to Dandies playing in Europe???

Some people don't understand the importance of momentum. A good start is essential.

And that "momentum" thing worked out so well for us last term... ;)

A good start is not essential. A good season is.
