But Hearts can draw crowds of 20,000 with fans paying over £30. Plus tv income from Sky, etc. They could also remain a full time professional club without tv income. Who’s going to pump the money into Scottish women’s football to enable them to be full time professionals? It’s not self sustainable when they only get a handful of people watching them and no live tv. I can’t even see how it could be self sustainable in England. Market forces will ofc dictate if that happens. Or not. My guess is it would defend on TV money and what the clubs divert to it. Man City, arsenal, Chelsea etc aren't short of a few bob. Throwing a few £m at their respective women's teams is hardly a stretch. It's Likley if anything. Professional could mean £50k salaries, not £100k a week. If I was guessing, England will be pro soon, just because there is that much money down there but I have no real knowledge or inside info.
