Strachan for Dundee

Apologies if I've missed a thread on this.

Gordon Strachan is on the brink of completing a sensational return to Scottish football after being offered a “blank canvas” to radically transform Dundee.

Record Sport can reveal the former national boss looks set to put pen to paper on a contract after being offered a unique role as the Tayside club’s new visionary technical director, with a formal announcement expected as soon as next week.

Sure it has been billed as the 'Strachan Revolution' in some of the papers.

Dundee will be a tough job and getting out the Championship isn't an easy task (unless of course you are Hearts and just smash every record on the way :)).

It will be very difficult without the budget he was used to at Celtic. Hopefully we see him shown up for the hopeless manager he is.

Wonder if he’s moving to Scotland for this job since he didn’t when the NT manager?

No doubt the Sun & Record will be pushing this “Strachan Revolution” rubbish, I’ll be surprised if he’s still there in May

Interesting that it's a revolution when a former arse cheek is involved but when someone, such as Levein, who doesn't kiss the collective weegie arse is doing something similar, it's odd or he's a control freak.

Dundee will still be in the championship the season after next.

I hope he fails.....and miserably.

My guess is he’ll clash with the owners and try to make wise cracks about it before they part ways by mutual consent.

No, it's a "revolution" and "sensational" because it's the Record  trying to make it sound exciting. They'll probably claim it's "exclusive" as well.

I would imagine the revolution will entail raiding celtics bins along with hubz

Should be used to raiding bins in Dundee tbf

Ourselves and Aberdeen need to get ready then. A new revolution is on the cards with Dundee, and Tony Fitzpatrick’s claim of The Midden being a top 4 club, :cornette: .....meaning we can look forward to the scraps of 5th and 6th for years to come.

Unfortunately they already have a manager who will carry the failure can, he will pick up the glory if successful.

He'll surely be checking out the genetics in Dundee before taking the job? ?

He was given a decent budget at Middlesbrough. He was still a failure.

Then Mowbray went there after inheriting his duds at Celtic too ??

Hopefully he doesn't tell any of the BAME players at Dundee that they're basically the same as convicted peadophiles.

So jealous of Dundee fans, getting to argue all season about who picks the team.

Wouldnt imagine there will be much mention in the media about this. It will be fine for Strapon/Dundee, just not for Levein/Hearts

Might actually work out quite well for them in all honesty. Hope not though, Strachan is a tit.
