Why is it exciting? Do you like Arbroath? Who is the smiling man?

We seem to have given up on the glamour friendlies.  Doesnt bother me.

Seem to remember that Man City came up to play us at no cost just to help us out.  Tremendous gesture.

Hope we will do the same for Hibs one day.

Plenty. Central Bar is a must for all the Star Wars fans out there! ?

@Fort Vallance is the local expert.

Was there when we beat them 7-0 in 1977(?).  Two hat tricks Willie Gibson and Drew Busby iirc

Curious timing

Barely a week after back in training.

They last played last sat .this game is 3weeks on sat .unless they have been lying on a beach stuffing their faces with burgers and beer . they shouldn't take long to be match fit.

Yeah

A week of hard training maybe enough these days. Just curious what the programme is. A game does break it up and League Cup does come round quick.

Spent five years in Arbroath whilst serving, it's an absolute shithole. This was back in the eighties though. I went back about ten years ago for a top table with one of the guys I served with, strangely enough the place is still a shithole. Went down to Gayfield a few times to watch Arbroath play (similar colours to the Famous), it always seemed to be blowing a hoolie! Genuine old school football ground, for those that have watched us play since the seventies this will bring back some old memories of what away trips used to be like.

Never been to Arbroath yet was excited to see this announced and a Saturday at 3 as well. Then found out I’m working that Saturday and no other Saturdays to swap onto. Maybe we’ll get them up their in the Scottish later in the season

The problem with glamour ties is these big English clubs are away on money runs and we are playing Betfred cup football.

Even if we get Europe our European start dates are early

Spent some time up there, also. Apart from the wee area down by the harbor it's a pretty grim place.

I'm assuming arbroath will be wearing maroon & white..just to confuse us

Your not joking btw.

I celebrated a ‘Hearts’ goal at Tynie circa 78 just as my bro and I stepped into the ground.

It it was when no one else moved that I realised Hearts wore their white top and Arbroath were in Maroon. Think we still won 3-2

On holiday there and was delighted to be able to buy a Hearts scarf. Thought it was a bit strange at the time. Took me about 20 years to realise.
