If Hearts won all the games 4-0 you still wouldn't be convinced.

Some serious issues if we don't accumulate 12 points from that group.

Yeah, no other premier team has ever dropped points in the qualifying sections. Winning the section is the aim. ?

Whether they have or haven't, we should be beating any Championship side at home.

As well as anyone in the leagues below that, home or away.

Quick retrace of Group 1 North this season. Top seed Ross County played home matches Match day 1 and 2 bye on 3 and away ties 4 and 5.

Hope that isn't consistent

Different group though.

That ticket remained a mystery for weeks.

You didn't manage to see it either

Thing was clinging like a magnet to the driver door pocket. I'll know the next time. Imagine if that had been Saturday?

Dundee were seeded in Group 1 North season 16/17  and followed the same pattern we had last season.

ICT then seeded in 17/18 yet another pattern .

Home away bye home away.

Conclusion.  Wait and see :)

I was about to say thats a queue worth joining but then I noticed the 'No Parking' cones.

Where would be a good place to park to join that queue?

I was at that one, MS.  Ochilview.

Always remember that after the game we were heading back to our bus and some idiot in a Hearts scarf threw a boulder/half-brick through the lounge window of a house. He thought it was funny until a group of Hearts fans got a hold of him and handed him over to the police.

Was there aswell  in 2014 early league cup round - took a decent following thru that night. Would rather go there than Central Park!

Hearts scored 4 goals in quick succession during the first half. My first ever away game so couldn't have asked for anything better.

Did remember someone saying to me to not expect it to be like that all the time !

We've got Stenhousemuir. I don't know if it's home or away though.

Dundee United, East Fife and Cowdenbeath make up the group.

Hibs section is made up of part time opponents. Alloa are their Championship opposition.

As mentioned further up in the thread, well worth doing a good job in the group and getting a seeding for the last 16 draw - therefore avoiding the "big teams". If we do that then we can be back in a quarter final and one game away from Hampden again in no time.

Utd at home is quite an attractive tie but they looked poor in the play off versus St Mirren so I'd expect us to take care of them with the right approach.

Clearly we should be winning the other matches comfortably.

Certainly at penalty kicks, never watched such a carry on, as for winning this cup, has to happen sooner

than later.

A week since the draw. Be nice if they could just hurry up and announce the dates so some of us can maybe plan what games we can go to.

They are not games that affect too many people, and they are still around 6 weeks away, this is par for the course. Would expect something by early next week at the latest

Not hugely, but as someone who works back shift permanently and can only take early finishes on a first come first serve basis, a midweek trip to the Kingdom of Fife could need a bit of planning.

I’m the same. I don’t work back shift but given where I live I still need to ask for early finishes for any of the potential away games if midweek. I get their is 8 groups but it’s surely not that difficult to work out the fixtures

The simple process would be to have a pattern like UEFA did when they had a 5 team group stage: 1v5, 2vs4 etc.

Here though, the TV companies want to hand pick their fixtures so the SPFL can't do much until BT get their finger out and decide.

It shouldn't be, but this level of understanding, you should be well used to, just does not exist

If we don't win the group, a consistent owner would 'cathro' the manager.
