Almost as if United wanted a Dundee derby next season with those pathetic attempts.

Money spinner and all that.

4 horrendous pens from United, dreadful stuff. I was hoping they'd come up but on the balance of the 2 legs they've probably got what they deserved.

Rubbish away trip but if we can get our act together surely we must be looking at least three wins out of four games, four if we have a full fit team and a couple of new players or would it be easier to pick up points against United home and away?

Ah well

Some league that will be next season. Two Dundee clubs fighting to go up. Inverness. Possibly Dunfermline and Partick.

Ah, some maturity - excellent. Deliberate has nothing to do with it as you fine know.

If you don't want to discuss things civilly, that's fine. However, I won't bother responding again.

You seemed quite ruffled that I dared to have an opinion that wasn't yours. So no, I don't think I'd like to be civil. Bye!

The laughable thing is United's goal came from the penalty spot.  Should have left Nicky Clark on at least would have scored one?

Nah, I know they hate each other but I doubt it means much to United fans.

I know it was only ten minutes or so with a one man advantage but I can,t believe how lethargic they saw out the game when they should have been going all guns blazing.

Robbie celebrating it going to penalties when st mirren had a man sent off pretty much sums it up.

Yep no interest in trying to win played for pens and it backfired

Robbie obviously forgot to include penalty taking practice this week:whistling:

Not according to his pre match interview with radio Scotland. Said they'd practised every day....I wonder how bad they'd have been without the practice ?

Beaton is dreadful. His decisions appear to be completely arbitrary and he is guaranteed to ruin any game he referees. How United got through extra time with eleven men still on the pitch is a mystery.

And United didn’t offer nearly enough. They looked to have better quality in a lot of areas, but that was a lethargic performance which richly merited what it got.

Good lord. 4 penalty misses. That's worthy of another year in the Championship regardless of how they may have played.

Sad for Robbie. Wanted them to come up and St liedown to go down but 4 pen misses... they deserve to stay where they are. Dreadful.

That has an awful familiar ring to it.

Lethargic is the right word, simply waiting for something to happen rather than forcing the issue.

Was impressed with the Utd keeper over the two legs, mightn’t be the worst shout to look at him as a replacement for our two!

FOUR PENALTY MISSES :rofl:that makes me feel a little better after yesterday. Never change Dundee Utd, let the banter years continue

Only downside is St Midden staying up

He done it at the end of normal time and then again at the end of injury time. Weird stuff.

I hate Stink Midden but United weren't good enough. United are in danger of becoming the Notts Forest of Scotland.

How that Beaton is allowed to referee at the top level is astounding.

Some of his decisions just defy belief.

I used to think he was biased against Hearts but actually he's just hopeless.
