Taxing a vehicle at post office

Bought a new car, tried to tax it online and by FN using 12 digit number on green new keepers slip (photo sent to me) but as it was declared sorn yesterday dvla (fnd them, automated service) advises five working days before online or FN application for tax can be made. It does however say it can  be taxed, at post office with green new keepers slip and mot cert.

Question is, do I need the actual physical slip or is the picture I've got of all the details enough?

I'll also take proof of my address in case.

Any help appreciated

I'd guess you'd need the slip.

Wait the 5 days out?

Just went in and asked, you only need a picture of it. However the car was sorn night before which meant I needed to fill out a v62. Luckily seller came through with v5 & drove it to me, at the post office so got it all squared away and taxed.
