bigmanjamtarts
Any recommendations for a hearts friendly pub to watch the cup final in Orkney? On holiday in Orkney so won’t make Hampden. Cheers

Bridge of Djoum
I’d find a source of electricity 1st, chief. Maybe an inside khazi, too.

dumpson
The Orkney Hotel in Victoria St is great for food/beer/football but is unfortunately the Orkney Tim HQ. As mentioned the Ola or Skippers in the Kirkwall Hotel are probably your best bet, Skippers probably being a bit Celtic-y too !

Scallywag
Stay on the ferry and come up to Shetland instead. Those Orcadians are a funny bunch. Get stuck into the Scapa Special, the Orkney beer is top notch.
jamboy1982
Skippers is a good boozer. No problems in northern isles except for visiting fans!! Locals are all friendly
Kiwidoug
Saw a tele programme recently about medical services in Orkney. Brilliant. Made me really want to visit. The people were so intelligent and friendly that clearly, every single one was a Jambo. Sure all the hostelries will be showing the game and packed full of Jambos. The barman on yesterday in the Orkney Hotel was a Hearts man, for whatever that’s worth! No idea if he’s on beer-pouring duty on Saturday though. Either way, a good pub.
