Hi guys .looking for a bit of advice for a venue for CL night.

There will be about 8 -10 of us and ideally a place near Haymarket or the Waverly would be favourite as a couple of the boys are from out of town

Is Malone's at Haymarket any good .Booking a table and something to eat would be ideal.

I imagine we would have get there early.

Hope a squad of over 60s can get in a pub together?

Dickens is just up the road from Haymarket. I've never been to malones, but I'm sure Dickens will be better.

Platform 5?

Good shout ... has been really busy for the last few CL finals

A mixture of locals foreign students and stag dogs but might be different this year with it being all English

Platform 5 is decent for a match day, you don't get charged over the odds for beer and food as well, get there early if you want a seat though.

I'm going down to Liverpool for it to sample the atmosphere and experience.

I watched the Scotland v England game in McSorley's on Forrest Road a couple of years back and it was decent. Plenty of screens and on two levels.

5 minutes from there, 56 North has been good for football. May have to book though since it's smaller.

Most CL finals I tend to go to the Globe on Niddry Street as it seems to attract a lot of actual fans of whoever is playing, Real v Atletico games were a particularly good nights, not so sure what it'll be like for an all engurlund final though

Is it still cheap as chips? Back in the day they had loads of multi drinks offers.

I went there a couple of years ago for the final and it was full of drunk spice boys.
