I was one of them along with two shipmates who were Leeds United and Lincoln City supporters. Were in the upper Broomloan stand that day. Nobody has said that, as far as I am aware. The point was that they're more interested in winning the league than hating Catholics. They do hate Catholics though, not exclusively. The most reliable comparison is that Hearts announced just over 13k sold at 01/08/2018 . With 3 weeks to go it looks like figures will be similar this year. Certainly not a mass walk out. If I could see sixty years into the future then I would be down at the casino! They’ve not done anything for over 8 seasons and have managed to increase season ticket sales. Of course both clubs are sectarian but I believe it’s secondary to their desire to win the Premiership. The same applies to Celtic, they’ve got an entire song book based around 10 in row! That's Spurs (a team on the up and that is now a top 4 side) , teams like Everton, Southampton, Newcastle, West ham etc have a small chance of a final, but as the last ten years have shown almost no chance of winning it, the top 3/4 are pulling away at a rate of knotts as well. The middle of the road teams have little or no chance of winning a cup and are too good for relegation, time will tell but clubs like Everton could go 30 years without a trophy, Newcastle could make 75 years very easily. Aston villa - staying up will be good for them. I'd rather be up here, at least we have hope, my bosses are Newcastle and spurs fans, as a Hearts fan I'd seen us won more in our life times than both of them together. I never bought a St and thought, great I'll get to see Larrson bang in 15 goals against us over 4 games or yee ha-can't wait until Gazza and Laudrup tear us for arsepaper. I'd rather the other other teams were complete piss or we we far better, surely most Hearts fans buy a St to watch Hearts. In the Epl, I think fans do at certain clubs buy a St for the big matches and to see world class players for other teams. Imo Part of the problem with that league, I bet a good % of some supports are football fans as opposed to supporting their actual club with any passion. When do Everton become a Leeds or a Notts forest, a villa or even a Preston? A Successful team at one point but not for Almost 25 years and counting. Middle table team that does not win trophies or even get to finals often anymore. Little or no danger of relegation tho. My point was that fans of these teams, West ham, Southampton--middle league sides etc are too good to get relegated, but miles of the top 4 or top 6 and with the gap widening, have very little hope or excitement. If big transfer fees and to see good players is your thing you'll have a hoot, if playing football matches that mean anything to your club is what you want they will be in short supply. Us, Aberdeen, hibs etc can nab a cup and get to a final quite realistically, also finish high in the league. It's all relative, but we get excitement. We now have a new main stand and with our capacity now a few thousand higher we'll be happy to give them the whole of the Roseburn Stand. Seen some cracking players domestically and in Europe, but if they ain't in a Hearts shirt then **** them. I've no idea what's happening with the Roseburn seats. The club will probably still be selling them via the ticket office. There's no indication of anyone being moved otherwise we would have seen a bigger fall in the dot count for the other stands.
