1000 tickets in 5 days. I recon tomorrow will be a big day too.

Can the doomsday merchants spin that into a negative?

Where’s Geoff when you need him?

You predicted at least a 20% drop. When it turned out that was wrong, you changed your tune and started predicting a 10% to 15% drop. You carried on predicting that, even after we'd comfortably passed sales of 90% of the previous season. We ended up about 2% or 3% diwn, yet you continue to claim you were right, despite being proved to be slavering utter shite on a consistent basis.  And yet you accuse others of trolling!  I'm so glad I don't have the misfortune of having to suffer you in real life!

Us being Hearts and our opponents being much smaller clubs.  A 2-1 win over any of these clubs inc DU would leave me extremely concerned.  Below par performances would leave me even more concerned.

You are welcome to think differently.

I set my expectations high and I'm sure the coaches and players do the same.

Their prices are roughly £35 more expensive too

Less expensive I think

There was a fair bit of discussion about this last year but I can't remember the details and tbh, can't be bothered looking into it again, but the basics of it were IIRC that they do an early bird discount which is a bit cheaper than ours but their regular prices tend to be more expensive. Also, they have, or used to, a very flat pricing structure. I'm sure it's something along the lines of behind the goal is all one price category and the other stands are all another price category. So someone sitting in D Upper at Tynecastle pays significantly more than someone in roughly the same position in their east stand, but someone in A Lower at Tynecastle pays significantly less than someone in roughly the same position in their east stand, because everyone in their east stand is paying the same price regardless of where in it they sit.

Depends on where you sit in new stand and what you are comparing with. One of my ‘mates’ paid £315 for a seat in their main stand whereas I paid £500 for a seat in Wheatfield. Their kids seats are much cheaper than ours. You need to do apples to apples comparisons to get it accurate. Try comparing their east stand prices with Wheatfield prices. They are comparable ie stand opposite the main stands at both stadia. Think you will discover a significant difference in prices especially if you use earlybird prices for ER, it’s £385 v £500 for adult tickets? That’s about 30%. For u13’s it’s £85 v £110, again circa 30%. They actually sell kids tickets for parts of the stadium at £50. After VAT is deducted it’s £41.67 per seat, virtually a free seat.  How many of them do you think they have included in their 11k announced today?

IIRC, their £50 kids tickets are only in the lower tier of the famous 5-1 stand, which I think only holds about 1,600 folk. When you factor in that it's a 'family' section, and I'm sure that  £50 price is only for u12 or u13s, there's at most a few hundred kids getting that price, and precious little opportunity for anyone that's not a renewing ST holding family to take advantage of it. The reality is, it's a headline grabbing gimmick rather than a good value pricing strategy!

I recall that Dundee United had a counter on their website a few seasons ago, do you think that it would inspire a few to make that final descion if we followed suit? An instant recognition of each fans part in the ongoing Natural Order.

I think a counter could only help sales if they were already going well, and good and growing figures were just building excitement. If sales were even remotely disappointing, or left scope for anyone to try to argue in such terms, I don't think it would help at all.

Fair point, that it might become a millstone if things were not going well. There must be some way to harness the current enthusiasm, I find it hard to believe that cup final attendees (or even TV viewers) would not want to attend on a regular basis, if time and finances permitted.

Despite how shite we were last season we’re still selling more season tickets

Over 11,000 for them

Had a wee laugh at Hibs.net earlier.

“11k that’s brilliant. How many have the Yams sold?”

“10.5k”

“Really? Haha big team.”

“Hearts have sold 11.5k actually.”

“Aye so their dot counter says.”

“Brilliant that we are outselling them. What are their excuses?”

“Their official Twitter has announced 11.5k”

“Who cares what the Yams have sold?”

“Sick of reading about them on here.”

Just had a quick look at their prices and a couple of things to note... Firstly, youth and child prices in the lower bit of the FF stand are the only ones which are priced differently depending on location. All other ST categories pay the same price no matter where you sit in the ground, so an adult ST in the front row behind a goal costs the same as one in the upper tier of their main stand.  Secondly, the fact that they have an early bird pricing window suggests to me that their sales will be more weighted towards that early period than ours are, as unless you want a specific seat, the only incentive to buy early for us is helping the club, whereas for them, they save money buying earlier.

What have Hibs season ticket sales got to do with Hearts ?

Our season ticket sales are not good enough.

In a City the size of Edinburgh we should have a waiting list.

There's no such thing as good enough or not. The fans that want to buy will buy, and those that don't, won't.

The size of Edinburgh has nothing to do with it. It's success on the park.

Finance all sorted. Will be in me usual seat next season hoping for better football and that the two rockets who sit behind me are part of the “Not renewing because we hate Levein/Budge/Library/No flags or fireworks “ brigade.

Id kinda miss this

”FFS get it forward

Big hoof

”FFS who was that to”?

”FFS Levein change it”

Hearts make substitution

”FFS Levein”

”Well done Hearts. We’re all over them”

Hearts concede

”Been coming all game. FFS Levein”

Indeed. The fact that a number of the two heided, cheesy knobbed mutants also defraud their club by purchasing student season tickets while not even students, added to all the concessions they sell shows them up for the sisterfisting rimjobs they are.

So do I, but the only way that'll happen is if the team is successful.

12k is probably our hardcore these days, the folk that will renew no matter what. The rest are fair weather. The sorta people who'll turn up every week if we are winning then disappear just as quickly when we start losing.
