Sanchez and Pogba

NB GIN

Recommended Posts

Man Utd fans wondering what the problem is at the club apparently Sanchez gets 75,000 per goal  and 25,000 per assist

Pogba gets 50,000 per goal but no other players receive this at the club

Totally madness this to give these bonus payments no wonder the club are in free-fall

Foorball needs to sort itself out the money is insane

On top of their 500K per week salary.

I totally agree with clubs who put a wage cap on their salaries as that's just ridiculous. Sanchez is nothing short of a wee mercenary *****!

Great that it's Man Utd though!

With Chelsea and Man City utterly flouting UEFA rules on signing/ financial fair play, then some clubs are having to resort to this to keep up.

Wages will skyrocket to try and overhaul city- and if you want the best- as that is what is needed- then its going to take MASSIVE wages.

Even Liverpool- how much did their squad cost to assemble? Van Djiik was what, £100,000,000 ?

You could buy every Scottish club for that

Put it into context though. Van Dijk and Salah cost less than Coutinho! Pretty good deal that!

True, but to put together a title tilt now would cost - ? £500 million to £1 billion in transfers alone if you did it from scratch. and that is just for your 1st 11

No it doesn’t. Man United tearing itself apart is wonderful to witness.

It's bizarre - The negotiators at football clubs must be truly awful. If you are going to set a goals target then you do it in increments of 5 or 10 not a payment for every goal, and you also include a clause about penalties ie that they are included or excluded, separate or at a reduced amount...

Also incentivising assists breeds ball-greediness and poor onfield decision-making...

It does cost that if you only buy players that are the finished article, if you develop players then that spend becomes much less, just look at Champions League semi finalists Ajax, their squad cost 50m euros to put together!

Both need to go this summer. If united want to start climbing back to where they were, challenging for the big trophies, then clearing these two wastes of shirts is the start. Young, Smalling & Jones as well but that’s because they’re pure shite

For all the deserved stick Pogba gets is he not their top goalscorer.

Rashford,Lukaku,Martial have had worse seasons than Pogba.

Luke Shaw is the worst of the lot.

Cannot even get himself in a decent physical shape.

That Woodward has been terrible for Man Utd he either fails to sign targets or pays way over the odds for others.Everything seems like a saga though.

They should see if Real Madrid will do a straight swap, Sanchez for Bale. Both players passengers / massive wage bill burdens. Swap would be a gamble for all parties but payoff could be substantial if Bale is a hit at United or Sanchez is a hit at Real. Nothing really to lose. Zidane is definitely keen to get shot of Bale

It wouldn't be a good move from Real's point of view, they could sell Bale, buy Sanchez and have money left over, so why swap?

If Real are going to fall for that we should try and do the same for Clare, get them to continue to pay a % of Bales wages tho.

Rumours are that Bale is going back to Spurs in a 10 million 1 year loan deal.

On the contrary Dodger, United should keep that squad together and buy "the golfer" at Madrid for a 9 figure sum.

Who is paying any kind of decent money for an injury prone 30 year old Bale? He is their Sanchez at this point, Zidane does not like him and the fans all hate him. Yes he scored big champions league final goals but in the league he has not delivered anywhere near expectations for the wage they are paying him. I reckon would happily offload his 300k wage burden off the wage bill for probably £10-20m which is the same sort of sum United would bite your hand off for Sanchez.

No team on the planet is going to actually pay £40m+ for these players because of their wages, that’s why a swapper deal could work. Commercially Sanchez is a big big name in South American football as well, plus he is a proven la liga performer.

They were probably angling to include Bale in a deal for Hazard but Chelsea can’t sign players so that will be a cash deal if it happens, they are stuck with Bale

Both players are old news, wanted by neither club.  Their current financial deals essentially bind them to their current clubs, and both will be content to 'play' them out.  Modern football.  Sad.

It’s potential oblivion. If things don’t go their way this summer, they could be heading for the bottom 10. Everton, Wolves, West Ham and Leicester all have good squads, good budgets and good footballing managers

The Cockney Glams have apparently put together a huge fund of money to get rid of their top earners like Lukaku, Pogba, and Sanchez, they've also told the remaining players they need to take a 25% wage cut because of no Champions League football next season, and they've just hired Ole Gunnar Fraudster on a 3 year contract, it's all going rather swimmingly I reckon

Oh, and Sanchez wasn't on £75k a goal, he was on £75k for a flipping appearance!

There is teams form china pay like £600k a week with almost no tax.

Real won't want Sanchez, Pogba maybe. Could be something in that. But Man utd paid like £90m for him 2 seasons ago. ….. They won't give him away.

Bales wages are not a problem if a teams wants him. Likely him not wanting to move to a " lesser" club. Lots of teams paying stupid money.

An embarrassment against City and Huddersfield.

Obv they would not want Sanchez on his own, definitely not. There’d be no way.

But as an exit strategy to get Bale emptied I think Zidane would look at it. Bale out Sanchez in, for the bread and butter la liga games, plus the commercial side in South America which is massive part of Real Madrid. No money spent.

It is definitely an unlikely deal but to me it makes more sense than both clubs keeping these 2 players. Customers ain’t exactly queueing up to buy either of them and pay their 300-400k wages !

You know an assist is when they pass the ball to set up a goal right? Complete opposite of greediness!

When the top scorer in the EPL is a three way split on 22, it makes perfect sense to incentivise each goal. Sanchez getting £75k per goal is the equivalent of Uche getting £300-400 per goal. In the commercial context of the EPL £75k is nothing really.

It’s the players not the club at fault I would suggest. Pogba thinks he’s the best and doesn’t feel the need to prove it. Not a good attitude to have. You always look to improve and do better as well as your best.

Pasquale for King

It’s a beautiful thing to watch, they’re so far off challenging the top two it’s scary co suffering how much they’ve spent and the wages they pay, since Fergie left.

Watching Neville on the verge of tears and getting more high pitched as he rants on is entertaining.

Listening to Keane talk about how a team should fight for each other, run more than every other team and leave every ounce of energy on the pitch should be compulsory viewing for young and old players alike. His critique of their current squad was spot on but perhaps too much for today’s football players to respond too, no doubt Klopp and Pep are as frank with their players but do it in a way young people nowadays respond to.

Factor in how much money they have poured into their academy....if you think that squad only cost 50m euros then you're about 10x off the mark.

Ferguson didn’t make many mistakes with players he emptied from old Trafford especially youngsters and Pogba was no exception. He worked his ticket back to Man U for big money and showed up when he felt like it. Turned up for France but not Man U! As for Sanchez, Pep did Jose up like a kipper on that one, Jose was so desperate to get one over on him he paid about 10x what he had too for a player Pep was never that keen on in the first place.

Man U used to be a club you worked your bollocks off to play for, any nonsense and you were out the door, you needed a will to win and a determination to be the best....now it’s just playground for players who have no respect for the history. It’s very Liverpool from the days the turned out in those terrible suits for the FA cup, all about looking flash and nothing else!

Perhaps a bit of a football manager post

but from the outside looking in, those two shysters would be the first out the door. Spend the money on players which fit the Alex Ferguson mould - Hardworking grafters. I think Zaha is finally at a level where he's ready to make the step up, Maguire at Leicester would strengthen them defensively. Declan Rice would probably be a good acquisition too.

Yes, but what i meant is that it incentivises players doing things that are not necessarily the best decision ie  Winger always trying to beat the man to get the cross in himself rather than pass to FB who is supporting him.
