Rangers playing some lovely stuff.

As an aside, wee lad on the bench for Celtic was one of my former players. Cracking player who has been out almost 2 years injured.

Craigan saying the reserve league doesn't work. Tit.

Expected a bigger crowd at a match in Glasgow between the 2 biggest clubs in the world.

Having to play a Youth Cup Final behind closed doors.

The supporters of those two teams really are reprobates.

Smoke bombs and a few broken seats. Total overreaction from the authorities.

There was the smokebombs and the broken seats etc at the Weegie Cup Final at Firhill in 2012 which was followed by a game at Sellick Park the following year when there was bother in the 8000 crowd at an U17s game.

Thats right, bother at a schoolboys game. U17s...

Since then all youth games between these two cancerous entities are behind closed doors.

Daft behaviour but there wouldn't be many games with spectators if we played games behind closed doors for fans acting like idiots.

More serious trouble than that.

Police bill is too high.

It's a shame that it has come to that, but it does make sense.

Think this has been an excellent game.

McPake has impressed me loads. Think he will be banging on the 1st team door pretty soon.

If Hearts was able to field its strongest U18 side then it would have a decent chance against either Celtic or Rangers.

e.g.

............. Stone

Logan Darge Hamilton Hickey

........ Ritchie, Cochrane

Schiavone Smith, McDonald

.......... Makovora

Both teams well ahead of our equivalent side.

How often have you watched our youth team. My guess would be absolutely zero.

I will take Footballfirsts opinion over yours any day of the week.

Even though you're completely wrong, given the resources of both clubs compared to ours, then there would be nothing wrong if they were.

I watched a large part of this game, reasonably entertaining.

I’ve now changed channels and am watching Man City u18s vs Liverpool u18s in their cup final!

The difference in quality is amazing! Looks like at u18 the gulf between the EPL & SPL is even greater!

Mcpake and Dapo Mebude are very highly rated good players and will get a chance in pre season along with Ryan Hardie im told mate.

Was told Hearts knocked back the chance to take on an ex Rangers coach who was very highly rated.

Think the name was Gibson?

Not sure if he brought through any of the current crop at Rangers before leaving but it was 3 or 4 years ago he left.

Yeah know quite a bit about both youth teams being mates with one of the coaches of both sides.

I don't know his contractual situation, but he hasn't been getting a game for a couple of months.

I wouldn't be surprised if two or three of the youngsters were released.
