It's wishful thinking, but I hope that we go for someone outside of the box for this appointment, and not just "A guid Celtic laddie" as no doubt will happen. David Wagner is available...! 132goals1958
He should have gone after the San Marino game but predictably the SFA dragged their heels. Right decision in the end but unfair to keep McLeish hanging in limbo for so long.

The Future's Maroon
Can’t believe I’m saying this but I think it was wrong to get rid of Strachan in the first place. Eck’s appointment was just laughable. Who next, probably won’t be anyone we name as they will come out with another absolute belter?
Heres Rixxy
I'm really praying they look beyond their mates and usual suspects for a replacement. Take time. Allow people around the world to apply. hawaii
Probably had to wait until the EBT payment plan was worked out with HMRC before announcing this. Captain Sausage
Right move. However those above McLeish, responsible for his appointment in the first place, should be following him out of the door. McLeish is a symptom of the shambolic leadership we have. It’s scandalous that there isn’t a bigger push to understand the underlying cause of our utterly embarrassing drop into footballing mediocrity. The blame is firmly at the SFAs door, yet somehow they don’t seem to being held to account for their piss poor performance. Changing a manager doesn’t fix this. The whole setup needs uprooted. Pretty much this, I’m sick of the Scotland job being treated as a long service award for SFA cronies. Take their time, If for no other reason than to gauge the desire to manage us from the calibre of the applications and then take it from there.
