Update on 27th that he's 2-3 weeks away -

You could have googled it yourself but then, you'd have missed an opportunity to have a grumble at the club you 'support'.

Saw him and few others doing laps of pitch at oriam on Friday.  Naismith said he'd hopefully be back this week

I heard that the club were sending him to see a specialist about his knee not his hamstring as they are concerned about it.

Is he alive?

If  so when can we expect to see him playing or did we just give him a 4 year deal to cheer us on from the stand!!

Are we likely to see him this Saturday?

Not another dig at the club, or Levein, you pretend to support is it Rick?

Tedious.

Is that now 2 weeks?

About a week and a half. I would think the game this weekend will be to early for him.

I think it's a rolling doodah, still 2-3 weeks.

He’s three weeks into a two week rehabilitation with four weeks to go.

Turned 33 two weeks ago, been super fit for his entire life.  May as well buy a one way ticket to Switzerland.

It’s over.

Meanwhile back in the real world, he’ll be fine for another few seasons.

Sport scientist who gets drafted in to look at injuries said he could not believe we gave him a 4 year deal and he will continue to get injured.

Drafted in?  Doesn't Oriam have Sports Scientists?  Wouldn't this have happened prior to giving him a 4 year deal?  Maybe there's a clause in his deal which transfers him from a player to a coach if his injuries prevent him from playing.  Who knows.  I don't.  Do you??

Is this from the "heard" school of starting rumours where you state random shite that you've made up in an attempt to engender negative comments towards the management team.

Either put up, by confirming the provenance of your post, or quit stirring.

:notsure:

It's always two or three weeks.

That said, the temptation must be strong to try and muddle through the Killie game, hope for the win, and give the injured guys another fortnight of recuperation and training.

2 or 3 weeks then? Everything will be sound in 2-3 weeks 👍

Aye if you happen to believe it 😒

Seems familiar story that it gets longer and longer with certain players.

Smith, Naismith and Souttar spring to mind.

Take it with a pinch of salt nowadays ☹️

I think he said last week (on Naismith) he got fed up saying a week, so he's changed it to 2 to 3 weeks now, and seems to be playing the same game with Pete

Anyone who thinks Naismith is a quick fix needs fresh air, the best is worth waiting for. He needs to be ready he isn't , going away with Scotland was a treat for him he was never going to play. Haring Souttar Naismith are weeks away, the amount of patience the players need should not be forgotten. No amount of winging will change it unless you have an agenda or mental problems.

Accept it

I don’t think anyone has ‘mental problems’ and furthermore think that folk (myself included) are just really keen to have our best players, of which Steven Naismith is most definitely one, back in the team.

i also don’t thunk that ‘winging’ is the correct word usage.

In terms of injuries, it’s hard not to think that Naismith might find himself struggling with the through the length of this contract. The recent signs haven’t been great.

Hardly going to appear great when fighting injury for a year, Steven is a deep thinker a top pro he isn't with us to be baby sat or kick his heels. He's been staying positive mentaly working towards being able to play, the injury wasn't  his choice.

The man lives football is priceless for moral leadership and genuine quality we miss
