Cegaiga
Will be coming back for a wedding next week and need a kilt hire. Anyone have any recommendation/prices. Preferably places that can give it out the same/next day.

trotter
Another vote for the place in Musselburgh. Very reasonable prices and great service
jack D and coke
Yeah I’ve used them a few times in Musselburgh. Don’t go on a Saturday for a fitting though it can take hours if they’re busy.
Helzibob
Not sure where you’re staying but this place in West Calder is good. My dad managed to drive up from Manchester one year, leaving behind half his stuff behind, they sorted him out the same day. They also made him a kilt many years ago. https://www.macdonaldkiltmakers.co.uk/
Guest
There's something special about hiring a kilt. No other garment in the world gives you that close connection with the previous hirers dirty arse and cheesy bellend

Col1874
I'd avoid bowdens on Easter Road (if they're still there?) Hired twice from them and they always want the kilt back the following day, which in many cases will mean a hungover trip to hand the kilt back. Got my last one in Gala and they were in no great rush for the kilt back.

Hard worker who knows his stuff

Hard worker who knows his stuff I didn't say otherwise, he was knowledgeable and polite. The point I made was that the shop had a very tight turnaround time for handing the kilt back, presumably because they're so busy, whereas the other shop gave me a few days.
