Really liked The Beat, with Mirror in the Bathroom being my favourite track.

Loved that track bud.

Listening to their first album I Just Can't Stop It.

No fillers/padding or weak tracks - just one classic after another.

Great band.

Saw them at Gateshead in 1981, RIP.

No I didn't, it was 1982.

The Beat, Gang of Four, U2 and The Police.

:wow:  Some line-up.

I’ve seen U2 only (out of that lot of yours) at Murrayfield. Would love to have seen the Police.

I had never heard of them before then but they upstaged The Police, there's YouTube footage of the full day.

Saw the Police at Ingliston at hogmanay around the same time and although they were good, Jools Holland was way better.
