Highlights show him as the same kind of player as Djoum. Hopefully the kid does well.

I don't think Hearts would be trying to sign a trialist as a replacement for a specialist like Djoum. More likely it's just a matter of scouting potential talent.

Indeed. If he’s any good he’ll start in the reserves and if he proves himself he might get to play in the first team. Time will tell.

Watched the video with the sound turned off. If he hadn't been circled every time he got the ball I don't think I'd have been able to guess which of the players he was. In going through the thread it was the comments of FootballFirst I paid most attention to. If he genuinely thought this player had the potential to be something at HMFC I think he would have said so. No harm in bringing him here for a trial though.

We should be considering the amount of pledges month to month. Oh wait that’s being used elsewhere.

That sounds as though you are envious of the pledges made month by month!!!  I wonder!

However, I shall answer as though you are one of us.

If you are in any way disenchanted by how your contribution (if indeed you even make one) is being used, can I suggest that you firstly visit the FoH site and if that does not clarify the position for you then there is machinery for your voice to be heard.  Let me know how you get on.

He is only here for a trial. Leave that to comment to if he actually signs (which I doubt he will)

I agree. I said "the same type of player". Not a like for like replacement. Sorry for the confusion.

No harm at us taking potential signings on trial and having good look at them and assessing them. Really don’t get the negativity at us doing this.

I didn’t say they are the type of player we should sign at all.  We should be looking st players who stand out for other clubs around us ready to take the next step.  Not a Partick Thistle sub and a player from ICT/Dundee/Cambridge/Luton who never stood out.

One or two of they type players perhaps but transfer policy based on gambles like such isn’t good.  Bryson and Haulket both look the business still though.  At least we will get proven players in this league with one ready to move to the next level and one still good enough for our league for a year or two.

Our track record means he’ll be the latter.

unfortunately, that doesn’t mean we won’t sign him.

He will sign and it will be “file under development team” I think.  Never to be heard of ever again.

Not even going to watch the YouTube video. I’ve been completely catfished a few times already with players that looked great in those little clips and then looked a bag of shite when it mattered.

You mean guaranteed quality signings who did really well for smaller teams like Wyness, Sutton, Reilly, Swanson, James? ??

No.  I mean players ready for the next level.  None of them stood out as brilliant signings.  Barr did as will

Haukett, as did Mehdi.  The players you quote might have taken the next step.  Lewis Ferguson was an obvious one.

There is no negativity unless Hearts sign a dud.

During the German winter break, Tasboy#2 was back home and trained/trialed with a couple of championship clubs. Never broadcasted and nothing done until the window opens in June.    Unlike with JKB where spies are out at Riccarton clocking who is new at training.

You seem to be a master of the use of hindsight so maybe you can enlighten everyone by giving the names of some of these outstanding players that we should be signing for next season.

I already did in the post you quoted.

Theres hindsight and theres getting one out of five signing correct as seems to be the case in the past 3-5 years.

I asked the names of the gems you would recommend for NEXT SEASON just to see whether your foresight came anywhere the majestic standards of your hindsight.

Mehdi and Barr are past history while Ferguson is under contract until 2024 and would probably cost a hefty fee.  Reports suggest we are already trying to sign Halkett.

So the field is yours.  Names please?

What were the warning signs the club should have been aware of with Wyness, Sutton et al that weren’t there with Barr and Taouil?

Are those warning signs there with Halkett?

Who else should we be going for? (apart from Lewis Ferguson who is starting every week for Aberdeen who we have zero chance of signing)

??

There are the usual suspects though who are quite happy to write players off at the drop of a hat. If this guy has got talent and potential given that he is 18 years old I have no doubt he will be signed probably on a year long contact till we see how he progresses. If he's not deemed suitable he'll be punted. This happens all the time at all clubs.

Regardless of who I say you will argue against a grind and grind away very tiresomely.  What about trying to sign Shinnie from Aberdeen in the summer?  Out of contract, good player?  Lee Wallace? We’ve needed a left back for years.  There’s a couple.

Barr was one of the best young defenders in the country when we got him, Blackie was also a good move.  Wyness wasn’t good enough for Aberdeen before ICT, we also missed out on the likes of Robson, Cowie and a good few others.

Are you and your wee pal Al the same poster? Last time I checked I wasn’t a scout or head of recruitment, although it wouldn’t be hard to do a better job than what the club seem to be doing at the moment.  1 success story in Haring from last season.  Let’s just get that out there.

You can bet on that but it should be easy for you to justify your well thought out criticisms.

I think you wanted to sign players in the 24-28 bracket.  Well, come next season Shinnie might just make it but Wallace is into his 30s.  That means just one player from your wealth of knowledge.

PS - Did you find out about the FoH contributions that seemed to bother you it as does with many Hibs supporters?

So despite Wyness scoring 67 goals in 116 games for ICT you knew he was going to be a failure? What were the clues the club should have been aware of?

What was it that you saw in Barr as a centre half at Falkirk that made you know he would struggle to get in our team for 18 months before playing for 6 months as a successful centre midfielder?

What was it about Black’s performances as a clogger at ICT that gave you the foresight he would be dreadful in a Hearts shirt for 18 months before delivering six months of good performances?

There’s a real need to fully utilise this foresight you clearly possess. Our club needs you.

Please Inchy one, you’re our only hope...
