Sold my flat last year. Gary Wales was my estate agent. Gave me a jambo discount. ?

Who for? I used to work around George Street and used to see a guy going about in suits a lot who I swore was Gary Wales double, but I thought he looked too young and just didn't think it would be him.

My mate works with Willie Miller, ex Hibs, as a landscape gardener.

Gordon Marshall (now Aberdeen goalkeeper coach) had a hairdressers in haymarket down the stairs from his dads newsagent. He cut my hair a few times and he was playing at the time . Really nice guy and loved his footy chat. Sadly the shops long gone now

Neil Berry became a sparkie and rewired my house. I used to insist on him signing the daily sheet so I could get his autograph again and again.

They did indeed, and they had at some time the Westbury (now the White Lady) and the Harry Ramsdens at Newhaven.

Sadly Alan died a good few years ago.

The barbers was on the go while young Gordon Marshall was still playing for Celtic in the mid 90s, not sure of it was Gordon senior who cut hair as whenever I was in the shop he was always serving me my paper and fags.

Yep sorry meant to say it was Gordon jr. he cut my hair when he played for Falkirk and Celtic and after it all. Gave me the odd lift back to corstorphine where he lived at the time and after he played , as I was usually his last appointment and my folks lived not far from him. Good Jambo.

his dad did the shop up the stair as you say and is an absolute legend , total legend
