Partick Thistle Dot Count

I have just done a count of seats available.

Wheatfield   -   2315

Gorgie          -   1141

Main            -    2133

Total            -   5589

It looks like a lot of seats in Sections V and Z of Gorgie Stand have been removed from sale as so figure for Gorgie is probably a bit higher.

I would estimate around 9000 sold excluding the 3 hospitality lounges in Main Stand.

I wonder how many fans who aren't going would be going if Hearts were playing

good football rather than the shambles of a team we have at the moment. It is

painfull to watch Hearts because our management have lost the plot and all

that is happening is our players are underperforming.

Would hope we can break 10k. Not great but I'm sure we will.

Any indication of Partick numbers?

Id imagine none of them as if we had a "team playing good football" we'd have likely finished Thistle off last week and there would be no game.

Not as many as would if we were playing like Ajax.

Probably but it should be an option for me

Though if you can get a ticket on the night then that  will suffice

How do you explain the fact that we had three Saturday home ties in the 2012 cup run and ALL had under 10k in attendance ?

In 2011 under JJ we had an attendance of under 7k in an early round cup tie against St Johnstone. We were riding high in the league at that point.

Even if we only manage 10k tomorrow night we will still outperform the ties mentioned .

So for all the eye bleeding football and underperforming shambles people still come to watch us.

Perhaps it is the case in the non Internet world fans still want to support their team.

Short turnaround to get tickets also a factor

I’m backshift so can’t make it, after the 1st match I was in a huff and said I was glad I wouldn’t be able to go, now I’m gutted I can’t make it ? will be the 1st cup game in many a year I have missed.

It’s the cup, and not on telly so no brainier I’d  of thought. Throw in the fact we only have one home game v Aberdeen this month then I’d of thought folk would be wanting to go to this one.

There is the fact it’s midweek etc though.

From Partick Thistle web site

Monday 11th March, 2019 at 5:56pm

Hearts have today confirmed that the remaining unsold tickets (approximately 500) for tomorrow night’s William Hill Scottish Cup quarter final replay will be available to purchase from the ticket pod at Tynecastle, located next to the turnstiles at the Roseburn Stand.

With more than 800 away tickets already sold it is set to be a fantastic atmosphere under the Gorgie lights.

Tickets are available from the Executive Offices at the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill until 7pm on Monday and until 4pm on Tuesday. All ticket purchases thereafter will be conducted at Tynecastle.

A reminder of the ticket prices for the tie is below:

So Hearts “fans” only go if the team are playing good football?

Those not going tomorrow due to quality of football are not really Hearts fans. Not in the truest sense anyway. If you support a club surely it’s not just when they are playing well?

Whats wrong with that ?

Most of our away games have cash gates provided as well.

Hearts fans will also be able to purchase tickets up to kick off time as well.

Moaning for moanings sake its become a compulsive habit with some Hearts fans.

If you were genuinely being serious I apologize.

Not bad Partick selling 800 so far.

Disappointing sales for us so far, for a cup quarter final. I'm going but can understand why some aren't.

for a Scottish Cup quarter final at home, I think 10,000 would be pretty poor. My guess is well get about 11,000 assuming Partick bring through about 1,000. Anyway, I'll be there.

A quarter final replay of the Scottish Cup and if we win we’ll play in the Semi against Inverness and you think

a 10,000 would be ok. Tynecastle should be bursting at the seams. What a fabulous chance to get to

another Scottish Cup Final.

10,000 would be ok. I believe it will be a lot more but a tie scheduled at short notice, not covered by season tickets, midweek, lousy weather forecast, CL on tv, people at work, people working away, only 800 away fans, previously arranged commitments, school on Wed morning, these all detract from total attendance. Anything much above 10k is pretty decent as far as I’m concerned.

10,000 for the biggest game of the season  so far is poor IMO
