Wouldn't have thought so, although I'm not 100%.

Cash this tax year is in this tax year.

Cash next year in next tax year.

As long as it's all above board, there would be no issue.

Accounts are mibupulated within the law all the time, and quite rightly as well.

Simple things like shops stocking up on sugar drinks before the tax right through to working out the ebitda.

Nothing wrong with it.

Might not be that, but the difference being March / April nigh indicate it's an accounting thing of some sort.

Maybe not.

Hearts are a company, not a person.  The company's financial year runs from 1st July to 30th June.  Whether cash for season tickets comes in before or after the end of the tax year (5th April) is of no relevance at all to the company's tax bill.

It would be nice if there was an early bird price like has happened in the past.  There would be more of an incentive to buy early.  Unlikely tho' ☹️

There will be an early renewal period i’m sure. No point is making them available this early and letting existing holders hold off for a long period.

Basically if we receive income prior to the financial year to which it relates it helps the immediate cash flow but from an accounting perspective it must be recorded in the financial year to which it applies. As far as corporation tax is concerned I think we can set prior year losses against any future profits.I don’t know to what extent but I am sure Football First will know

In their last accounts, Hearts reported a "potential deferred tax asset" of £9.92m.

That figure represents losses reported in previous years that can be offset against future profits, e.g. if Hearts report a £2m profit for this year, then they will not pay corporation tax, but the carrying figure for the tax asset would fall to £7.92m.

The only club that seems to have exhausted its prior year losses is Celtic, who actually had to pay £1.85m in corporation tax last year, according to their accounts.

Here's the last couple of dot counts I did, at the end of the normal sale process and again after the half ST sales period. I don't think the full difference between the first and second figures represents the total of half ST sales, as i believe that the club probably held back some seats, certainly in the Roseburn stand.

The first dot count for next season should be similar to these figures. If they are higher, then perhaps some seats held back this season, either for hospitality or poor sight lines, will have been released.

As pointed out earlier, the first real indication of sales will be when the previous ST seats that have not been renewed (usually around 10%) are released for general sale.

Thanks for that. Quite a juicy figure to carry forward but whether we utilise the full amount in the future may be subject to time restriction or if we make sufficient profit.

I wouldn't be too fussed paying an extra £20 on last year's price but Hearts have to be reasonable with what of any price increase they do. This season still could be great (3rd place and Scottish cup), but then we could still end 7th or 8th ?

Think any increase is likely to be more than £20,  as some people paid £100 to freeze their price for 3 seasons (including this one).

I know that fee also guarantees your seat selection for 3 years, but I can't imagine people being happy with paying an extra hundred, if it only went up by a tenner each season!!

I paid the extra but cant see it working out in my favour. Have tickets ever gone up 100 quid over 3 years??

Mine went up £150 last season when I stopped being a full time student and had to pay for an Adult one

Not sure what the average yearly increase is though!

I think the £100 was only for the new stand and it was to manage the jump in some seats from silver to gold to platinum. I seem to remember that my seat in the new stand is due to go up £40/50 for next season

I'm using PC and get the Option of 'Season Ticket Renewals' under 'Matchday'

I clicked on 'Renew your Seats Now'

These are Gold adult, Silver adult and Silver U13.

Always knew it was coming but you do take a deep breath when your season ticket hits £500.

If you were in the ‘new’ stand, the £100 price freeze, which included securing your seat for cup games, was not available to you.

Season tickets are excellent value considering the crazy amount for walk up tickets.

This.

A silver ticket (which is decent seats all along lower sections of Wheatfield and Main stand) is £350 which works out at just over £18 a match. Great value.

There's this...

Dates

Renewal Period: 6th March - 30th April 2019

Supporters who wish to renew their existing season tickets must do so during this period, otherwise the seats will be released for resale. If you wish to renew but also wish to move your seat, you should still renew and you will then be given the opportunity to request a move during our transition period.

Transition Period: 1st - 2nd May 2019

General Sale: 3rd May - Onwards

Tickets go on general sale, subject to availability.

The renewal period to get your usual seat seems a lot shorter than normal? Wonder if this is on the back of the cup draw! :D

can anyone remember what it was last season?

Thanks.

God knows how English teams manage this as the sums are ridiculous.

Probably do a rolling thing

One years loss's fall off add the current years on.

Nothing to see here.....

Oops :)

It may seem shorter for me as I ended up moving seat last year so wasn't in a huge rush.

Just move to Bronze, be another decade before a seat there is £500. Don't think it's too much really, £26.31 per game.
