Delighted to see the fat clown announce. Two years of unhinged slavers and tantrums, all as he fleeces the thickest ****s on the planet into paying for his 19th golf course

His speech is hilarious. It's just one load of bullshit after another 😂😂😂. Even he doesn't believe what he's saying. It's all just one huge grift and probably trying to somehow prevent him from being indicted.

Tragically, there are 50 odd million bigger clowns than him. The ones who can't (or don't want to) see through the narcissistic, egomaniacal, racist prick.

Should just have resurrected the auld thread. :(

Trump will be in a Hair and matching jumpsuit soon enough. Unfortunately for him, he won't get to emulate his pals from Russia, China and NK, by invading neighbours and changing their democracy to an autocracy.

When will the fabled assassin's bullet come calling for DT. It can't be too far away.

So Trump runs again, but I believe what his niece Mary says about it. She says its the only way for him to get the attention he craves and that's all it's about. Attention begging. Plus he can continue sapping the witless trumpets for money.

I watched the tin-pot wannabe dictator announce his candidacy last night.  It was a pitiful speech, full of nonsense and BS, played out before a lukewarm crowd of friends and family.

I think he'll become the GOP candidate for 2024, which should make things easy for the Dems.  The American electorate should be fully aware of Trump's failings by then, and he should lose to Biden, or whoever, by an even bigger margin than last time.

The fact Ivanka has stepped away tells you everything. Even his most fervent supporters and loved ones know he has no chance and should have quietly departed stage left to play golf and chill. Im

sure they’ve tried to get him to listen to reason but there is no convincing a megalomaniac!

There is little chance he will be the Republican nominee and DeSantis is very well positioned to take him on after his historical victory in Florida. He’s going to be a completely different challenge for the Dems and a lot of moderates can and will be swayed by him. Going to be a fun watch as Trump and DeSantis go at it.

I think he could win because folk were dumb enough to vote for him before.

:sadrobbo:

I hope they don't but I don't think it's an impossibility.

I think the Dems need to replace Joe though. A great man but I don't think he's 100% all there now.

I think he will probably end up president again.
The world is feked now and most certainly will be if he gets in again.

I despair, what a mess

Who are the likely Dem hopefuls of getting the party nomination in 2024 (other than Joe )  ?

Just been discussing Trumpism with Mrs LS.  Its  impossible to 2nd guess  a madman's next moves, but we reckon he's driven by the  emotion of revenge more than anything now - revenge for  the "stolen election", revenge for the federal investigations into Jan 6th, and blind rage that most world leaders see him  now as the  deranged  loser who was beaten by a doddery old man.

His growing hatred of DeSantis is astonishing, albeit unsurprising,

Early doors yet but Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer just put everyone on alert with a landslide re-election in a state Trump won in 2016. Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown was an early favorite in 2020 but he decided not to run. California governor Gavin Newsome keeps saying he's not running but that hasn't stopped the rumor mill. North Carolina governor Roy Cooper probably won't run but he'd be a great darkhorse IMO.

Another obvious steal

Not a bit, Phoenix is an enormous and growing city and the state has been getting bluer by degrees for decades. Huge Mexican immigrant population, lots of retirees from California. Both Senate seats were already Democratic (albeit one being Sinema.)

Could be, but DeSantis could also steal his wind. News Corp deciding to bury Trump's announcement is no small deal.

Republicans need 1 for a majority.

A lot of those are west coast states with lots of mail in ballots waiting to be counted. The GOP will get a House majority, but it will be  majority of 1-5, meaning whoever gets the Speaker's job will need to keep every fringe nutcase in line and showing up for votes, which will be a miserable job, particularly since the Democrats will have the Senate.

It'll probably finish up at around 221/214 for the Republicans.  Tht's enough for the crazies like MTG to get onto influential committees.

The major reason Trump has done this is simply to keep milking the witless trumpets when the legal hammer falls. And it will, regardless of him running. Trump is in deep shit legally and so deep he will never wriggle out of it or at least not legally.

The DOJ is going to indict him and when they do he will scream witch hunt to stop me running for president. And he will ask for money from the witless to help save the country from this tyranny. And they will send it, presumably, they always have before to the tune of hundreds of millions apparently. "small dollar donations"

Before that happens what is Trump going to campaign on? He has a policy blueprint?

Guarantee you all Trump ever talks about is Trump. And how he's the most unfairly treated individual in the history of the world. When all he wants to do is good.

I sort of wonder if even some of those total halfwits swooning over this marmalade imbecile might become bored listening to Trump talking about Trump. That type of guy is a bore at any party.

The Republicans want Trump gone too, he's sunk because in the background they too will be supporting measures to make sure he's indicted and convicted. Which is sound logic. Even they see the end result of something like Trump. And even they deep down don't want that.

At a bare minimum it will be ensured that Trump can never run for any office again. And the evidence against him involving serious charges is so compelling they can't just let him walk away with nothing but barred from office as a punishment.

If he speaks in court he's going to make a total ass of himself and probably prove his own guilt. He's that stupid. Which makes me think he may never speak which would most definitely be the legal advice. Because they too know how stupid he is.

But then again Trump being that stupid might over-ride them and insist on speaking. That would be great TV. It would be like watching the Titanic heading for the iceberg. Trump is sunk.

The GOP officially has the House now (long expected but until now not yet confirmed), and so the committee chairs are kicking off their big announcements for how they want to make the country better. . . .

. . . by doing another Hunter Biden investigation.
