What is the idiot doing going for a 'drive past' outside the hospital

Ensuring all those involved in this staged nonsense are now at risk and will have to self isolate including his own secret service

  1. A doctor at the Walter Reed hospital where Donald Trump is being treated has strongly criticised the president's motorcade ride due to infection risk inside the car.

"That Presidential SUV is not only bulletproof, but hermetically sealed against chemical attack. The risk of Covid-19 transmission inside is as high as it gets outside of medical procedures," Dr James Philips tweeted.

He said that those inside the president's car would need to quarantine for 14 days and are at risk of getting sick.

Dr Philips is also an assistant professor of emergency medicine at George Washington University.

At Sunday's news briefing, Trump's doctor Sean Conley said he didn't reveal earlier that Trump had received oxygen because he was "trying to reflect the upbeat attitude of the team".

Now Alyssa Farah, White House director of strategic communications, says that the administration is striving to be "as transparent as we can" about Trump's health.

"It's a very common medical practice that you want to convey confidence and you want to raise the spirits of the person you're treating," she told Fox News.

She also says that it's "absolutely not" true that Trump is upset with his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, for giving a less optimistic picture of his condition on Saturday.

The steroid saves lives by calming the immune system, which can become dangerously overactive in Covid, but needs to be used at the right time. Give it too early and the drug could make things worse by impairing the body’s ability to fight off the virus.

This is not a drug you would usually give in the “mild” stage of the disease.

The Recovery Trial, which took place in the UK, showed the benefit kicked in at the point people need oxygen – which Mr Trump briefly did.

The World Health Organization translated those findings to advise using the steroid in “severe and critical” cases.

Mr Trump’s blood oxygen levels did drop below 94%, which is one of the National Institutes of Health criteria for "severe illness".

However, those low oxygen levels were not sustained and the gap between someone needing transient oxygen support and end-stage Covid is massive.

We do not know the full details of Mr Trump’s condition, but it is hard to imagine you or I would be discharged from hospital while taking dexamethasone and remdesivir and after being given an experimental antibody therapy.

However, we do not have the medical support at the US president’s disposal.

Different spins on Trump hospital photos

Last night two photos were released of Trump working at Walter Reed Medical Center, where he's currently hospitalised with Covid-19 - but all is not as it seems.

They were shared by many of the president's supporters - including his daughter, Ivanka - as evidence that he's continuing to work while in hospital.

But journalist Jon Ostrower points out that the photos' metadata reveals they were taken within 10 minutes of each other.

Given that Trump is shown in two different locations, wearing different outfits, the close time stamps suggests they were staged.

A crowded event at the White House Rose Garden, attended by Trump just days before he tested positive for Covid has come under intense scrutiny. Footage shows people sitting close together, hugging, and not wearing masks.

Trump's physician Dr Sean Conley has said his team is working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to trace contacts from the event.

But a federal official close to the matter has cast doubt on the claim. Dr Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, told CBS he'd spoken to a number of officials who were at the Rose Garden event who hadn't heard from contact tracers.

"They have an obligation to understand how the infection was introduced into that environment," Dr Gottlieb told CBS.

"They might not be able to pinpoint it, but they should be very aggressive in a forensic analysis to try to find what the source of the infection was... and to understand who else could be at risk."

"There doesn't seem to be a very concerted effort under way," he said, adding it was "concerning" that contact tracing did not appear to be taking place.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said she is happy with the "reliability of the testing" in Congress.

"I think it's better than what is at the White House or else the president might not have been exposed on the basis of a false negative that may have put him at risk," she told CBS.

"We don't know where he got it, but we do know that there was a negative test for somebody with close proximity to the president."

Her comments come as concerns continue to grow that more lawmakers could become infected after three Republican senators tested positive for Covid-19 at the end of last week.

Biden presses on with election campaign

When Trump first revealed he had Covid-19, Joe Biden - Trump's opponent in next month's presidential election - said he would suspend all negative campaigning.

However, he hasn't suspended campaigning altogether. For example, in this tweet he reminds voters that there are now only 30 days to go until polling day.

Since Trump's diagnosis Biden's poll lead has widened by about 10 points, according to a poll from Reuters and Ipsos released today.

The same poll suggests most American voters think Trump could have avoided getting Covid-19 if he had taken the virus more seriously.

Analysis: Why Trump's aides floundered at providing clear health updates

    BBC News, Washington

The president likes to speak directly to the public and has often kept his own spokespeople out of the loop. His days at hospital have been particularly challenging for those who work for him.

The conflicting messages showed the problems inherent for Team Trump. They have not provided regular, transparent updates about his health in part because there has never been a coherent method of communicating the president's messages.

He has always preferred to be his own spokesman, and his aides have deferred to him. Now he is not well, and his aides have floundered.

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows contradicted the president's doctors in a briefing to reportersImage caption: White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows contradicted the president's doctors in a briefing to reporters

On Saturday White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows revealed that Trump's condition a day earlier was far worse than officials had made public. This was revealing on different levels. Journalists frequently grant permission to officials to speak off the record to obtain information.

On this occasion, however, their exchange was inadvertently captured on camera: it was a "Washington Gaffe", a term coined by journalist Michael Kinsley to describe the moment when a politician expresses candidly what they and others think but do not say out loud.

Meadows' remarks showed the president's team were not consistent in their views or in their messaging, revealing the discord and chaos unfolding behind the scenes. Above all, it showed they were deeply concerned about the president's health.

Trump is a despicable individual. He has downplayed the Virus from the start, he is now even downplaying his own personal attack by the virus by having those around him lie. I can never understand the willingness of it seems all to go along with him. Even men like the distinguished General Kelly lived with it and on disconnect has said nothing negative about him. I suspect most of us have had a boss we disrespect at some time but in the interest of the other employees I know in my own case by attitude, respectful but critical comment one can provide some influence by letting the offender know you are not fooling everyone, and there are others just like me. Instead we have a Senate full of yes men, even the leader of said. Lindsey Graham is struggling for reelection, and it is suggested in reports it is because of his support for Trump, what has Trump got that earns this. It is not ability, it is not truth, it is not character, it is not a background of success, and certainly not loyalty either to staff, allies, wives, so what the hell is it, because I like to think I am somewhat perceptive but I see nothing.

The secret of Trumps success has been the quality of his opposition.

Yeah it is. According to reports, just yesterday morning Trump was freaked out thinking Covid might kill him. Today? He's exposed at least two people to Covid so that he could stroke his own ego with a motorcade drive, in a hermetically sealed vehicle.

How many of his supporters are now going to break quarantine—or take it even less seriously than they were before? How many people are they going to kill?

We already knew Trump was an *******. What needs to be remembered is why we are here in the first place: Decades of "lesser evil" voting, fuelled by absolute nonsense from the extreme right like calling Democrats, who are by-and-large centre-right corporatists, "communists" or "socialists." Americans who believe this shit number in the millions, they are willfully ignorant, and they have no ****ing excuse.

If Trump survives this he's going to emerge as a leading world expert on covid-19.

Quote

President Trump on Sunday said he "learned a lot about COVID" since his diagnosis, calling his time undergoing treatment the “real school” about the highly contagious virus that has infected more than 7.4 million people in the U.S.

“It’s been a very interesting journey. I learned a lot about COVID. I learned it by really going to school. This is the real school. This isn't the let's-read-the-books school,” Trump said in a video posted to Twitter. “And I get it, and I understand it and it's a very interesting thing and i’m going to be letting you know about it.”

The democracy institute is a right biased think tank. It's a bit like Fox taking a poll of their viewers. Who would win?

He's not out of the woods with this yet, very far from it. This is just the beginning not the end. As it develops I can see him having complete mental breakdown if it becomes bad. And that wouldn't help his survival chances. If it panned out like that they may completely sedate him.

Not a chance on this Earth, will Trump win the popular vote.

He would if Alex Jones conducted the poll among his listeners. And that's effectively what the 'democracy institute', a right biased think tank, is doing.

This 'drive by' thing is just another of a never ending stream of insane antics by this weirdo. You can be 100% guaranteed no one else suggested this. Largely because it's completely absurd.

That car is hermetically sealed and uses recycled air.  Infected with covid Trump had two agents sharing his air in that vehicle for a stunt. He is a total nut.

Going by his antics in Washington with the infamous bible photo we’ve seen he’s quite happy to put others in harms way for a photo opportunity. He’s absolutely morally reprehensible.

Totally, who does that except a tin-pot tyrant? His White House still haven't confirmed when his last negative test was. We can assume he was not tested for days prior to the positive and it's being covered up. It's likely he debated Biden with no test for days and was positive (if he is actually positive and this is not some massive hoax which I don't rule out).

It's like a baddie scene in a James Bond movie with the baddie taking all these drugs to live forever!!!! And u wonder why the US has such a high prescription drugs issue ( or in this case non prescription drugs) where quack medics right scripts for anything that that patient wants to get!

Some other features of that. Herman Cain tested positive on June 29th, that's 28 days prior to that CNN report. And died a few days after that report on July 30th. His age? Same as Trump, 74.

There is no way Trump is in the clear with this. It's not something that clears up in a weekend.

The secret of Trumps success has been the quality of his opposition.

Absolutely, I am not a fan of Biden,  and was certainly not of Hilary, and certainly not of Trump. But he is no doubt different, and thats what a number of people were looking for. Many times in life one sees taking things for granted being costly,  happened to the Democrats in 2016, it will all come around to who takes too much for granted this time.

So he deliberately showed up late at the debate to avoid testing and then lied to them he'd tested negative that day. That is a criminal act.

What I think is that every time you try to comment here you make yourself look pretty foolish. I will give you an example of hypocrisy. Then maybe you could show me an example of what you think is hypocrisy. It's notable you just say hypocrisy while offering absolutely nothing to support it.

The reality from a recent article: Quote

“Trump never said that white supremacists were fine people, and he has repeatedly disavowed white supremacists (not that he should have to). The left’s claims about “racism” are all based upon “microaggressions.” These are what leftists find in the absence of actual racism. When it comes to microaggressions and open racism, the big winner is Joe Biden, whom the left protects.

Trump has not signed laws or passed regulations that discriminate against people based on race. What did happen under Trump is that minorities have done better under his administration than they have since these types of records started being kept 70 years or so ago.

Sexism: Trump has more women in his administration than Obama, Bush, or Clinton. Trump was the first major New York developer to give women management roles in large projects (although gratitude is not one woman’s strong point). Trump has not signed laws or passed regulations that discriminate against women.

Anti-Semitism: In Israel, they adore Trump because he is bringing peace to the region – and he did so by sidelining the Palestinians. When he finally moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and acknowledged Israel’s right to the Golan Heights, he revealed to the Arab world that the Palestinians are yesterday’s news and also showed unprecedented respect for Israel’s sovereignty and security. His beloved daughter is Jewish, as are three of his grandchildren. If all anti-Semites were like Trump, Jews would never be endangered again.

Islamophobia: Trump took the list the Obama administration had prepared showing terrorist countries (almost all of which happened to be Muslim) and said that they couldn’t send people here until proper security measures were in place. He destroyed ISIS, which was Islamic. And of course, he’s bringing peace to the Middle East, which benefits the region’s Muslims.

Trump has not signed laws or passed regulations that discriminate against Muslims.

Homophobia: Two words: Ric Grenell. He’s openly gay, he’s one of the most influential people in the administration, and he and Trump are doing something no Democrat ever did: Trying to protect gay people around the world. Gays who have lived without the benefit of America’s protections love him for it.

Transphobia: Trump did not want transgender people in the military. Wanting to ensure that people with severe body dysmorphia do not serve is smart, not transphobic.

Conspiracy Theories: It’s not a theory. We now know with absolute certainty that the Obama administration conspired with the CIA, the DOJ, and the FBI to spy on Trump before and after the election.

Fundamentally Corrupt: Trump has had the equivalent of a daily colonoscopy since entering the White House. No president has ever been so clean.”

Great stuff. Was starting to get despondent that she and Barr and Mitch had dodged it. Nice wee bonus.

All the "It's just the same as the flu" dolts will be loving this.

Still, Trump will no doubt be advocating an immediate and free at the point of care health system to Americans now.

Do you have the slightest comprehension how worthless this is? Anybody could do that about anything. Allow me to show you.

Conspiracy Theories: It’s not a theory. We now know with absolute certainty that the Trump administration conspired with the CIA, the DOJ, and the FBI to imprison stray dogs in Trump tower for sexual purposes. Grab em by the doggy pussy. Don't even bother asking.

Fundamentally deviant. Trump has the equivalent of a giant dildo entering his flabby anus daily since entering the White House. No president has ever been so perverted. He's the most perverted ever.

And all that's guaranteed absolutely true because I just said so.

Still undecided if he actually has it... it's easy to make him look ill by wearing no face paint. Just seems a way for him to convince his followers and undeciders that he's got the coronavirus under control. He 'caught' it, got some medication, fine now. Others in his administration 'caught' it, got medication, fine now. Vote for me and you'll get some medication and be fine.

The insanity is cranking up, this is the worst thing he has ever said about this virus. Catch it on a Friday, by Monday you will be not only better but better than you were 20 years ago. We should all catch it to be 20 years younger over a weekend.
