Cade Posted August 24, 2020 Share Posted August 24, 2020 Trump's also promising/threatening to send squads of goons round to polling stations on election day supposedly to prevent cheating but the plan is clearly to intimidate voters. Off-duty military and police personnel will be asked to fill in these roles, and will be armed. They'll be demanding to see ID of people in the queues (although they will have no legal right to do so as they are off duty and election monitors have no right to interfere anyways). Basically saying he's helping Trump try to rig the election. Also blaming DeJoy for all the protesters keeping DeJoy's neighbours awake all night as they bang pots and pans, in protest. I'm speculating that she's decided to get out before the shit hits the fan big time. If they don't win this election all the signs are everything we currently know about their dysfunctional governance, their shady practices to enrich Trump and family, their outright corruption, is only the tip of a very large iceberg. She may be calculating that it's better to get out now and start trying to distance herself from it before the rotten ship Trump sinks below the waves entirely. I had a look at a couple of her daughter's tweets which suggest a really troubled child but conversely could just be the modern way of 'typical' teenage rebelling against her parents. She seems to have a challenge with both her parents political views and personal values but respects her dad's whereas she believes her mother's rotten to the core maybe even to the extent impacting her mental health. Never Trumpers who have already pushed the Dems even further right than they already were, will also be working in the Democratic administration.
