Sharpie Posted January 6, 2021 Share Posted January 6, 2021 I am not sure the curfew was genuinely to empty the streets, but it gives official permission for the riot equipped police to harass non curfew conformists by keeping them moving. The police certainly seem to have the numbers they require now, would it have been so difficult to have acquired these numbers at the start of the day and keep the rioters from getting settled. I give the police a complete fail for their actions, and suggest that some senior heads should roll, a recent graduate from a police academy could have seen some time ago the situation that was developing, particularly when it had the support and invitation of the sitting President . So many questions and there will be so few answers. I personally am quite disgusted that this was allowed to happen in the Capital of the Country self claimed to be the example of Democracy for the rest of the World.
