Some shocking footage from the attack on the capitol in the first few minutes of this video. With specific voices from the mob and exactly what they're saying being singled out. All of them, and Trump, should be in prison.

The first documentary about Nancy Pelosi, the powerful and polarizing Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.

I still get the feeling the net is slowly closing on Trump.

Trump's phone records handed over to the investigation panel have a SEVEN HOUR blank space.

Convenient.

Trump claims to not even know what a burner phone is.

Strange.

Trump, after being exposed as a man trying to shred the notes for a specific period of time in excess of 7 hours as an insurrection took place.

Now decides to go for broke by asking his old pal Putin for help again. It's ironic that the dangerous insanity of Trump and the current Republican party is so ludicrous at a base level it's ready made for comedians.

I hope you're right, but as long has Trump has a grovelling Republican Party and a compliant SCOTUS, who will bring him to justice?

In the unlikely event that charges are laid against Trump and he is found guilty of some criminal act, the next Republican president will simply pardon him.

Exactly. It's only going to matter if we make it matter, and right now the rest of the GOP has just decided that it doesn't care about crimes if it lets them narrowly hold onto power as their electoral minority shrinks.

I harbour similar reservations given that he has done multiple things that would have instantly ended the career of probably nay other politician. Can you imagine the screams from they're side if say Obama had been the one grabbing pussies, sucking up to Putin and so much more.

Trump has always slithered out by simply lying even when the lie was obvious then moving on. But this is different, this wont simply go away as Trump tries to create another shit storm to distract from it. And lying can get you jail time as this progresses.

Some are probably already looking at jail time, Steven Bannon for example, and others will jump ship if that threat comes to their door. And there have to be some in that party among the higher echelons who are thinking is this what we are? A joke of a party with an orange criminal clown at the head while touting every far fetched conspiracy theory out there in fruitcake land?

Screaming Lord Sutch was more credible as a leader than Trump and his monster raving loony part more credible than the current Republicans, and that's no exaggeration.

And outside the Republicans the establishment surely they can't let this fly. We know for a fact now there has been a criminal conspiracy to overthrow the US g9vernment and the ring leader is still pushing the same absurd lies. Lies which are destroying their political and social landscape.

The January 6th committee are doing a far better job that I suspected they would. I believe there may be a lot more to come that's even more damning. While in just the past couple of days we have evidence that the wife of a supreme court justice is either batshit crazy or fully on board with a coup attempt.

And, the husband of that woman Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was the only one of nine to vote against passing vital documentation to the committee. The entire Republican loony bin is melting down.

Then we discover Trump didn't communicate for almost 8 hours on January 6th. A day when everyone else in DC and probably across the world was glued to TV and phones texting and calling like crazy. Trump sent not as much as a text.

And who would believe that? I know you don't, and I can't see any sane person having any other opinion. If this were a trial do you think a jury would believe it?

See I now think the Republicans are starting to accept that Trump and his crazy gang are destroying them. You think Trump turning to his old pal Putin right at the moment Putin is carrying out war crimes pleases them? It's destroying them and Trump wont stop because he couldn't care less about anything but himself.

This can lose them the mid terms big time and they know it. They made their bed and now they don't know how to get out of it. And I believe even Trump may be starting to shit his pants over this.

And his biases come from his far-right wife.

Is that asking Putin to dish any dirt he has on Hunter/Joe Biden.

Does Trump think that if Hunter Biden or even Joe were up to their necks in sleaze, that he'll (Trump) be re-instated as President.

Trump better be careful asking Putin to dish the dirt, as methinks Putin might have loads on Trump.

I must be seeing the same news as you are. Hard to say if the President actually knew about the transactions, but there is enough of a scent in my opinion that Biden should possibly have thought closely about running for President with the possibility  of his name being used to obtain large sums of money by his son. If the stated sums are positive, it is really outstanding.

Its so true, I am an avid news watcher, watch channels of all political ilk, and I think I am being very honest in saying I do not see one of the possible future candidates I would be enthused if American to vote for. I suspect as in the mid terms regardless of standard of those running the x will be placed beside an individual not because of they, but strictly the Party they represent.

They probably edited out a windmill rant. The bit about Hunter Biden having porn pics of windmills on his laptop. The Democrats are quietly cheering Trump on right now as he makes himself and the Republicans look ever more crazy and outrageous.

They have to surely know by now, if they were ever unaware,  that Trump doesn't give the proverbial flying about any party, all he cares about is Trump. And even Trump must surely at least occasionally be subject to fleeting moments of reality as the shit pile he's in forces it's way through the orange fog.

That makes Trump all the more likely to become ever more unhinged. Must be grilling Jared right now after Jared spoke the Jan 6th committee for over 6 hours. He didn't spend all that time saying I plead the 5th.

This by a significant margin is the biggest political scandal in US history and is still unfolding. We already have a federal judge saying there's clear evidence of not just criminal but also seditious activity from a President who was in office at the time.

The wife of a supreme court justice who can only be viewed as either batshit crazy or malevolently seditious. And the SP justice husband right out there in the open attempting to hinder the investigation with absolutely no legal cause/reasoning to do so.

Almost 8 hours of vanished communication logs. Watergate was a trivial event in comparison to this shit.

Trump doesn't think, he simply blurts. In a previous post I said this.

Quote

Trump has always slithered out by simply lying even when the lie was obvious then moving on. But this is different, this wont simply go away as Trump tries to create another shit storm to distract from it.

And that's what this is, simply Trump trying to get people to forget all about the sedition and all the rest of it and run down a rabbit hole with him. But that wont work on this. This will not go away no matter how much he tries to distract.

I think Trump is such a fragile ego he could get even crazier as the heat increases.

Until recently I thought that Trump was a slam dunk for the Republican nomination in 2024.  Now, I'm not so sure.

Ron DeSantis of Florida has the strong conservative views that will appeal to many on the Republican far right, and he doesn't have the baggage that Trump carries.

And DeSantis is smart, a word that no-one puts in the same sentence when talking about Trump. He's a graduate of Yale and the Harvard Law School, and he's also a US navy veteran.

The more Trump slavers on about his admiration for Putin and his hatred of windmills, the more GOP voters will look for a sane alternative.  And DeSantis is quietly waiting.

I have a feeling that people are privately looking for a way to save face and jump off the trump train. It could be by him saying a few more mental things as the pressure rises, the cracks start, the narrative changes to he may be right but he's losing it now, and they'll move on to the next psycho.

He still has Fox News Biden bashing all day, and referring how Trump dealt with the matter being criticised. They belabor Bidens cognitive abilities and I have to say they have a fairly strong point there. If the Presidential race became a repeat Trump v Biden the only winner would be the likes of Russia and China.

I once saw one say, this was during the Obama presidency, "so what did Obama do on 911? tell me that"

And of course 911 was in 2001 while Obama didn't become President till 2008, but hey, what did he do?

Or how about this classic, "KEEP GOVERNMENT OUT OF MY MEDICARE! YOU DAMN SOCIAILISTS"

Where do you start with that.

I watched Levin on Fox news last night he is making strong allegations against President Biden for using his political influence to cohort with Chinese oligarchs to make millions of dollars. His son is the one that the investigation started about an unskilled person earning millions from entities in Ukraine and China. They are now demanding a hearing such as the one presently investigating Trump. The now famous Hunter Biden laptop the original source of the allegations.

I watched that show.  It was one of his best "New Rules".  I also liked his comments earlier in the show about Will Smith.  He sure knows how to cut through the bullshit.

The comment about the two Republican women shrieking at Biden " ... he's not some Black kid trying to use your pool ..." was classic.

At the end of the show I said to my wife, "America is screwed." The crazies have control of the Supreme Court, they'll soon have control over the House and the Senate, and in 2024 they'll get the White House back.

The inept Democrats have only themselves to blame.

Trump is extremely clever in his own right. His skill at bullshitting, manipulation, target abuse, and con artistry are second to none, and that's an intellectual achievement in its own right.

Yes, he's incredibly ignorant, incurious, uncritical, and poorly read. But I've dismissed his unique (and incredibly dangerous) skills in the past to my great sorrow.

Trump had a rally this week an hour or so east of here. The kind that he used to get 15-20k people at.

2k people showed up.

The media around here still covered it breathlessly like it was some huge event, of course.
