I remember him - I was once on the London sleeper and he was in the next compartment - well, I think it was him as a lassie there kept shouting out his name.

Jeezo.  Tough one. I thought second in from left bottom row was Andy Watson. But, nah. See Peter Reid front right. But no points for that!

One of the most notorious pieces of cheating I have witnessed in my 58 years of watching Hearts.

Dave Provan falling down to get Willie Johnston sent off at Parkhead. He should still, to this day, be ashamed of himself.

Willie Johnston’s reputation along with the baying masses and a linesman who crapped himself, got him sent off.

Ironic. Provan bleating on about players diving on Sky.

At least 50 if they were, say, minimum 14 in 1984. Scary indeed. 😀

I'd forgotten all about the tank top. I had one. Always worn over the Hearts top.

No fashion sense.

Then or now.

Few faces in there. Davie Bowman with possibly McPherson next to him. Andy Roxburgh, Gary MacKay, Kenny Black, Jim McInally looks like he's never changed. Billy Davies reckons he can see Billy Davies in the front row. McCoist middle of the middle row.

That red Scotland and blue Scotland strip was the dugs.

That's all the ones I got.

Looks like Bryan Gunn the goalie

Don't know if that is Jim Bett top right

Could be Billy Kirkwood between MacKay and Black

Boy on the right side of Gunn as you look at it could possibly be poptastic 80s DJ and cheesetastic other half of Anthea Turner, Peter Powell.

Just about the worst effort to get a fellow pro sent off I've ever seen.

In the background it looks like there's no Jambos in the Rangers end but there was around 7/8000 there that day, maybe more and it was  carnage after Bud got sent off. The Glesga police eventually just quit their attempt at the usual bully boy tacticsa nd watched as police hats were used as frisbees.

Hearts 1970, first team I ever saw

2 great Hearts men of the past in that photo, on either side of the team.

1956 trainer, John Harvey and John Cumming, the most successful Hearts player, in winning medals with Hearts.

Also the duo that inspired the “blood doesn’t show on a maroon jersey” immortal line in the Albert Mackie book.
