It won't be a defender as that's Joe Wark passing it back to the goalie

I'm not totally convinced myself it's Ralph Callachan but it's not Brown and I don't think it's Burrell

Pretty sure it's against the Jags and it's George Given in goal. Guess Willie Wallace with Tommy Traynor on the wing.

Sorry the keeper is George Niven. And I think the other Jag might be Harold Davis . Both ex Rangers.

Ralph or Parkie for me.

I’m leaning towards wee Donald as the legs are too chunky to be Ralphie.

But basically, who knows?!

I think I’ve got Kenny Garland, Dave Clunie, John Stevenson, Jimmy Cant (oh yes he can!) and my pal and I sitting above the ‘K’ in MACKAY BROS?

Number 10 for Celtic might be Davie Hay?

As with a million other photos Davie Clunie was in the picture but out of position and not adding much defensively...one of my anti_hero's particularly his ability to throw the ball out of play from his throw in.

Nice guy but...

Willie Gibson, Derek O'connor, Gary Mackay, Davie Bowman (number 10?). Only Hobo I can name is Ally Brazil.

Craig Paterson on the right.

I think Jackie MacNamara is heading clear from Chris Robertson (could be Bobby Robinson)

Struggling to put a name to the Hearts player in the distance to the right of Willie Gibson

The hair and shape of face suggests to me it's Derek O'Connor but could be wrong.

Jim Brown, Jim Cruickshank, Dave Clunie. At Pittodrie

Typical Jimmy Brown, trying everything to stop a goal being scored, shirt tug and the last ditch slide tackle.

Anyone know the Aberdeen player ?

I think so. The moaning faced crackpot could be coming in at the back post from a corner.

Kenny Garland, Dave Clunie (under Garland), Roy Kay, Alan Anderson, Jim Brown. Hibs player is Alan Gordon.

Same match as the colour photo on the "Ajax" thread.

That's a very young Alex Cropley as well

Both correct.

My dad and I are actually in the Kenny Aird one!

That’s really cool! What sort of year would that photo be, roughly? My dad might be in it.

Hi Jambogirl 👍

It would have been 1974 or 1975.

Hope that helps, and that it is your dad in the photo.

Let me know!

Peter Oliver was a really good left back. He got a bad knee injury and was never the same after it.

Ralph Callachan, O'Connor, Busby, George Stewart. Could be MacNamara heading away

Could be Tony Higgins instead of Callachan looking at it again

What year is that MS? I wonder if it is the 1 - 1 game when George Stewart tried to put Willie Gibson off when taking a penalty at the Dunbar end.

If it is I would have been in the no-mans land area, in the background of the photo, with my Grandad and as it’s the late 70’s I would have been about 7 or 8 and he didn’t want us getting caught up in the renowned Gorgie Aggro😜
