Think the Hearts player 3 back may be Tommy Veitch. Rene Miller just appearing next in line after Dave Clunie.

If you can’t get the go-ahead for the sub-forum, I could start up the Oldies threads again, if folk fancy it?

A few other forums I occasionally dip a toe into have '(insert team) related picture thread' some of the pictures of not just players are really quite interesting even to non supporters.

A Hearts one would be good. Ive often thought of starting one but just never done it.

McKay, McCreery, the real Zico and Levein.

David Syme refereeing I think

Yip - Syme can't wait to blow his whistle for a potential foul on Charlie Nicholas

McKimmie and I think Mason are the other Aberdeen players

Season 80/81 photo? Who is the young player infront of Gary in the white strip? It looks like Levein but it can't be him.

Cheers. Ashamed to say I've never heard of him.

I can't get all of the white shirts - a few in maroon as well - like the guy on the right next to Scott Maxwell. Bobby Masterton is right in front of Gary

Here's the same photo with the players names but the writing is very small.

My first visit to Parkhead. Coincidentally Mrs NLJ’s first visit to Parkhead with her dad. Before I knew her though.

Mine too.  Mental day.  Only just caught our goal at the very end as we were inching our way out at the time.

I'm sure that's a young Willie Miller up against "Buzz Bomb"

There were a few times Aberdeen wore blue against us In the 1970s.

Norrie Davidson who scored the winning goal in 1962 League Cup final

Spot on. He was the centre forward, none of that striker nonsense, when I went to my first game.

Alan Gordon played for Hearts, Hibs, Dundee Utd and Dundee - not many can say that.

Scored a few goals in his career (prolific) so why did Hearts sell him ?

Davie Provan got him ordered off by collapsing when he ruffled his hair. IMO
