Is that the Eddie Thomson who eventually became manager of Australia?  His brother used to live round the corner from me in Peebles when I was a kid.

One and the same.

Peter Oliver was much later than the 'Golden Vision'

Think it was George Thompson who went to Everton with Alex

Peter Oliver has a bad injury against Airdrie, and went to York City ...IIRC

Pretty certain it’s Ford too.

My only slight doubt is his hair isn’t as impeccable as it normally was.

Deffo Donald Ford.

Looks like Donald Ford Flasher Sneddon (in distance) and guessing Billy Menmuir?

Is the Celtic player Jim Brogan?

Not sure, as the hair looks too long.

Great to see these pics of Eddie Thomson.Always makes me think of Arthur Thomson from around the same time. Are there any pics of him anywhere?

Eddie was one of my favourite players. Much better player than Arthur. Eddie was a sweeper who had some skill. Hearts stupidly sold him to Aberdeen. Not surprised that he went on to achieve managerial success. Died too young from cancer.

Career spanned from Whitehill to Hiroshima: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Thomson

That's who I think as well but with Hegarty and Winchester in the photo I cannot recollect we ever played with 3 strikers.  As a real outside guess I'd suggest Tommy Veitch but maybe I'm clutching at straws

A really hard working midfielder who came from Bonnyrigg Rose. Tragically died in his thirties. Can,t recall the circumstances.

From our 'golden era' late 70s by the looks of it.

I can spot JJ, Eamonn Bannon, Malcy Robertson, Zico, Donald Park, WIllie Gibson, Bobby Prentice, David Johnston and is that Frank Liddell on the extreme  right?

I'm going to go for Clyde away , at Shawfield?

Once seen Hearts win 7-1 there

Only recognise Jimmy Brown. The main Clyde player is Joe .......

That's not Frank Liddell.

I can add Lawrie Tierney and at a guess Graham Shaw behind Bannon
