Thanks! Tried scraping it out with a paper clip or pin? You’ll be amazed at how much fluff and crud can come out of it and solve the issue. I’ve never damaged mine doing it, but if you think the charging port is goosed you’ve nothing really to lose anyway. Had a few friends who who were about to do the same as you and get it expensively changed, only to “fix” the issue in 5 mins.
