What's the deal with the split for these deals? SPFL have not released figures but reported as £30 million per year, and the Scottish Cup another £3 million a year.

With a guarantee that the arse cheeks are on every single weekend without fail, regardless of what competition they are in, where exactly does the money go?

Are the other clubs accepting a lesser percentage annually for the cash cow that is Sevco & Celtic or is there equality?

If there is a disproportionate amount of the cash going West, the opportunities year on year for narrowing the gap gets less, not more likely?

Are you saying the GFA / SPFL take a cut of the deal as an 'admin' fee? I always assumed it was directly for the clubs benefit?

Probably not. Paranoia is usually irrational....

Yes, I am also in the belief the rest of Scottish football will suffer while the SFA try to accumulate funds to buy Hampden.

Old Firm will be fine though, so no reason to panic.

Income from the league contracts are put in a central pot and distributed across all clubs dependent on your division and final league position. The cup deals are put in a central pot and distributed across all clubs dependent on the round you exit at, or if you win or lose the final.

The exact % breakdown for the new deals hasn’t been published but no reason to assume it would much different from the current arrangements.

It makes no difference how often a club is selected for live tv in the league. For live cup games both home and away are given a modest fee (around £30k). It used to be higher (£85k) but the lower league clubs wanted this changed to remove the cup jackpot for a side in January that could allow the division to be ‘bought’ with an influx of new players.

Thanks Graham. That's reassuring to know. How do you find out such information, it isn't easy to find
